📖 We’re just bookmarking our page for a little while…

The Plot Twist is now closed for a little holiday — a chance for us to put down the pencils, close the covers and take a well-earned pause. ☕📚

We’re taking some time for rest, recuperation and, most importantly, a bit of family time, so that we can come back refreshed, recharged and ready for the next chapter.

And what a chapter it has been. ❤️

We honestly cannot put into words how grateful we are for every single person who has walked through our doors, bought a book, shared a coffee, enjoyed a cake, tried our savouries, recommended us to a friend or simply stopped by for a chat.

The amazing feedback and lovely messages we’ve received about The Plot Twist, our coffee, food, books and the little space we’ve created have meant more to us than you probably realise. 🥹

And this isn’t the end of the story… there are new things coming. 👀📖

We’re already looking forward to turning the page and welcoming you back on Thursday 15th October, when we’ll be ready to serve you all the amazing coffee, cakes and savouries you’ve been enjoying — with a few new chapters along the way.

Here’s to cosy autumn days, winter warmth, good books, great coffee and everything still to come at The Plot Twist. 🍂☕📚

Thank you for supporting our little bookshop and coffee shop. We’ll see you in the next chapter. ❤️

If you’re anything like us, finding a book you need to own is half the fun — whether you’re actually ready to read it yet or not!

What an absolutely magical evening! 💕✨

Last night, we had the absolute honor of hosting the incredible for the official launch of her beautiful new poetry book, True Lips 💋📚.

We are incredibly grateful that Jordan chose our little coffee shop and bookshop as the intimate venue for such a milestone moment. The shop was practically bursting at the seams with love, support, and an amazing turnout of beautiful souls who came out to celebrate her.

From the endless flows of pink lemonade to the deeply moving poetry readings, the energy in the room was pure magic. There is truly nothing better than seeing our community come together to uplift local talent, share laughter, and celebrate the power of words.

We could not be more proud of Jordan—the evening was a massive success, and her words have already left a lasting mark on all of our hearts.

A huge thank you to Jordan, and to everyone who grabbed a ticket, bought a copy, and filled our space with so much warmth and love. If you haven't picked up your copy of True Lips yet, make sure to grab one! ☕📖🌹

📖 A VERY IMPORTANT BOOKISH QUESTION…

You’re in danger.
Things are looking bleak.
This is no longer a situation a strong cup of coffee can fix. ☕️

You get ONE phone call to a literary character.

Who are you calling? 👀

Sherlock Holmes to investigate? 🔎
Katniss Everdeen to take down the threat? 🏹
Hermione Granger because frankly, she’d probably have a solution before you’d even finished explaining? 🪄
Or are you choosing someone completely unhinged but very confident? 😂

And we don't just want the name…

We want to know why.

Because choosing the wrong fictional character in a crisis could be the plot twist none of us saw coming. 📚

👇 Who’s your emergency literary character?
