Krust Café

Krust Café Some may say we were crazy but it was an opportunity that we couldn’t have missed out on. We sell ourselves as hearty, homemade, deli style food.

Our Story......

Picnic has been a well established brand for 18 years and Mollie and I (Sophie) bought the café in July 2020, right in the middle of a pandemic. As children we have always sat around the family table dreaming that one day we might be able to own a coffee shop, and now that dream has come true! From poached egg stacks to homemade sausage rolls, caramel iced lattes to americanos, quality is essential for us and we want to ensure our Picnickers will always return

Where do we begin ? Honestly this following statement might not make any sense or be grammatically correct, putting emotions down or out there has never been our strong point.
Unfortunately, we are saddened to announce that the chapter of Krust Killyleagh will be brought to an abrupt end on the 31stof October.

First and foremost we’d like to thank all of our customers from our daily regulars, our dog walkers, our cyclists and the ones that didn’t even know this wee village existed. We would like to thank you for being apart of the journey that we embarked on. It’s be a rollercoaster of many ups and downs late nights early mornings and everything in between.

Being the bigger person here and having some decorum we are leaving with our heads held high and our knees clean. Due to powers beyond our control we’d to make the decision to respect our boundaries as a business and more importantly as individuals.

So rather than finishing on doom and gloom we’d invite you to call in and enjoy one last cup with us and a slice or two before we bid farewell to this chapter. Of course this won’t be the end of Krust. We will be pressing pause and regrouping to plan for the future.
From the bottom of our hearts we’d like to thank you all for supporting the journey. To everyone who helped make it possible.
