It’s been a while since I’ve had anything to say on here and we have been fortunate enough to gain lots of lovely new followers of late so here’s a little about us…
We are a small, family owned business in the heart of Kendal. Over the 12 years we’ve been open we’ve gone through a few changes and weathered a few storms but the main goal has always remained the same…to be the best we can be and look after our wonderful customers. Whether that’s serving nutrient dense salads full of seasonal goodness, a hearty quiche packed with the best artisan cheese from , a beautifully poured cup of locally roasted or a piece of homemade cake the size of your face.
It’s not always easy, things aren’t always the way we want them to be and curveballs have been in vast supply over the years but we graft really bloody hard to be as good as we can and always strive to be better. 99% of the time we absolutely love it.
We are also lucky to be part of a great community. Our staff are small in number but mighty in kindness, spirit and love for the job. We get to work alongside heroes such as Lou & Cath from The Menopause Cafe, Lana , Jen and Rudi to name a few. The support and friendship from people like these keep us going. And of course last but not least our amazing customers. There’s nothing better than those days we realise how many of you have been coming since day 1 and we know on a first name basis…whilst I totally understand that sadly people will go elsewhere it still genuinely upsets me if we lose a regular.
Things are always changing but we aim to bring some consistency and are very grateful that we can continue 🤍
