Even the little bites deserve to be made from scratch 🧀

We’re now making our own mozzarella sticks and mac ’n’ cheese bites for takeaway!

It’s all part of our ethos at Otto: making things ourselves, knowing what goes into our food and relying less on ultra-processed, ready-made products.

Our mozzarella sticks? Fior di latte mozzarella, coated twice in breadcrumbs… done! Simple ingredients, a golden crunch and that all-important cheese pull 🤌

Four courses. Three locally distilled gins. One night only. 🍸

On Thursday 8 October, we’re teaming up with East Coast Distillery for a four-course gin pairing dinner at Otto.

Head Chef Marco has created three dishes to complement a selection of East Coast gins, followed by dessert. With each course, the distillery team will introduce the paired gin and guide you through its story, botanicals and tasting notes.

It’s an interactive evening celebrating innovative food pairings, locally produced spirits and two independent Essex businesses.

Our new menu has landed 🇮🇹🍴

We’re launching it today, and to celebrate launch week, we’re giving you a free Garlic Bread and dip when you spend over £20, right through until Friday 18th September.

This menu marks a bit of a change for us. We’ve moved towards a more sharing-style concept, with dishes designed to be ordered for the table, mixed, matched and enjoyed together. Our pizza menu will remain the same!

Why the change? It gives us the freedom to change dishes more often, follow the seasons and keep introducing new ideas. For you, it means the chance to try more of the menu in one visit — while making it much easier to tailor your meal around your appetite, budget and how you like to eat.

Come in for a couple of plates and a drink, or settle in and work your way through the menu.

August was our busiest month since opening as a restaurant — so a huge thank you to everyone who came down for our 2-for-1 offer. We really appreciate you bearing with us while we grow, learn and keep improving.

We’ve also had some brilliant feedback on our new sourdough pizza bases. After plenty of tweaking, we’ve landed on a dough that gives us the airy, crisp and properly tasty pizzas we’ve been working towards.

Sunday Slice Club is now two weeks in, and we’ve got some slightly whacky specials planned for September…
