☕ As part of our journey with The Active Wellbeing Society, we wanted a name that reflects our ongoing commitment to serving and supporting our local community members. Don’t worry, we’re still in the same location providing the same great food and service – along with a new head chef and menu for you to try! 🍽️

👉 We’ll no longer be using this page to share updates, so be sure to follow us on our new page, Bistro at Sunspot, to keep up to date with all the exciting events, updates, and community happenings we have in store for you!

📅 Don't forget to mark your calendars with Essex Pedal Power’s Clacton Carnival this weekend!

🎪 Join the team at the Essex Pedal Power office on Lotus Way, CO15 2LU, this afternoon from 12 PM to 4 PM to decorate your bike ahead of a full day of celebrations.

🚲 You can also join a cycling adventure led by Andy & Phil on Saturday 10th of August. Meet at the Essex Pedal Power Office on Lotus Way for a 1 PM start. At 3:30 PM, enjoy a leisurely ride down to the carnival field.

📢 Exciting news ! Starting tonight, we’re launching our new Takeaway menu, available every Friday from 4 PM to 8 PM!

☀️ Located right on the Jaywick seafront, treat yourself to a beachside dinner with a range of options including jacket potatoes, burgers, and vegetable chilli con carne – perfect for the whole family to enjoy this summer. 🍽️

🌞 Exciting news! Schools are out for the summer, and we're pleased to launch a brand-new kids’ menu at Sunspot Café, perfect for families to enjoy this summer holiday. 🍽️✨

🍽️ Kids under 12 eat FREE from 11:30 AM - 1 PM with a paying adult. You can choose from a selection of tasty options including fish fingers with beans and chips, a veggie burger with salad and chips, or a freshly made sandwich with crisps and salad.

🍎 Each meal comes with a free piece of fruit and a choice of squash or water. Outside these hours, kids can enjoy a sandwich for just £1, along with free fruit and drinks!

☕ We are really excited to be taking on the beachside cafe in Jaywick, known as Sunspot cafe.

🥪 Kevin the previous owner is going to stay on this summer, to continue offering excellent service and great food.

🚲 Alongside tasty food, we're excited to weave in award winning Essex Pedal Power activities and other healthy active life initiatives. Come and see us!

🎉🚴🏼‍♂️Essex Pedal Power wins for Best Transport Decarbonisation Project!
A huge achievement for the community cycling initiative, which is helping to not only promote sustainable active travel and healthy living, but also reduce carbon emissions and improve local infrastructure. So far, over 2,600 bikes have been given away, resulting in 48,000kg CO2 saved.

We are pleased to announce that The Active Wellbeing Society has taken on the Sunspot Café and will be open as usual. "We are really excited to be taking on the beachside cafe in Jaywick, known as sunspot cafe. We are also excited that Kevin the previous owner is going to stay on and work with us this summer to ensure the residents of Jaywick continue to have excellent service and great food."

It is with deep regret that Kevin and his team will be leaving the Sunspot Café on the 28th June 2024. We would like to thank all of our customers for their support but Kevin's personal circumstances have changed and he is unable to continue. We would like to wish the new tenants every success and hope you can show them the same loyalty, support and love you have shown us. Xx
