The UK has one of the highest b**r tax levels in Europe, ten times higher than in Germany. This tax, called b**r duty, is added to the cost of your pint.

Every year, the Chancellor makes a decision on b**r duty in the Budget. If it is not mentioned in the Budget speech, it automatically rises with inflation.

We believe the Chancellor should Drop the Tap Tax and announce a reduction in the tax applied to pub b**r, supporting community pubs and independent breweries.
So tomorrow please support this campaign if you can. We will be offering a 10% discount off of Cruz, Moretti, Inches and Devon Red but you have to sign the petition by scanning the QR in the pub. Thanks for your support.

The Anchor Inn is now an official Hawkstone stockist. Now the wild thing is on its way out we have made sure we have another at the ready. The Hawkstone Session will be replacing wildthing and we are also introducing Hawkstone Pilsner

We just wanted to take a moment to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who has supported us since we took on The Anchor Inn.
The kind words, encouragement, visits and continued support have meant so much to us. Taking on the pub has been an exciting new chapter, and we’re incredibly grateful to have such wonderful people behind us.
We’re really looking forward to what the future holds and to continuing to make The Anchor Inn a welcoming place for everyone to enjoy.
