On Tuesday, chefs from across our venues visited our trusted salt supplier Blackthorn Salt to see the salt-making process first hand 🌊

It was a fantastic opportunity to appreciate the craft behind an ingredient we use across our kitchens on a daily basis.

From our Blackthorn Salted butter and SimpsInns Toffee Pudding toffee sauce and our pâté, just to name a few, it brings a taste of the West Coast to so many of our dishes. 🧑‍🍳

🌟 A huge congratulations to Emily from our Marketing Team, who is our SimpsInns Team Member of the Month👏

Emily joined us in March at our head office at The Gailes Hotel & Spa and over the past six months, has been the creative force behind so much of the fantastic social media content you see across the SimpsInns group.

From coming up with fresh ideas to somehow convincing even the most camera-shy members of the team to get involved, Emily brings creativity and enthusiasm to everything she does 📸🎥

Always smiling, friendly and approachable, Emily is a fantastic team member and a real pleasure to work with.

Helen 🤍

As part of our celebrations, we are reflecting on the people who have helped make SimpsInns what it is today and Helen is certainly one of them. ⭐️

Helen joined SimpsInns 30 years ago at just 20 years old, starting her journey as a chef in the kitchen at The Loans Inn upon its opening in 1996. From there, she has worked across SimpsInns in a variety of roles, from management at The Loans to supporting the opening of The Gailes in 2002.

Over the years, Helen has also worked at GG’s Coffee Shop, supported The Potting Shed and The Waterside, working across operational support, housekeeping and night management - most recently returning to The Loans Inn, where her journey began 30 years ago! ✨

30 years, countless roles and so many memories. 😊

Thank you, Helen, for your hard work, dedication and everything you have contributed to SimpsInns over the last three decades. 👏
