Flipdish issue:

Please note that Flipdish, in their "wisdom" have decided to switch their back-end to an AI system that no longer affords us features that allowed us to keep the online menu system up to date as close to possible to real-time. This will lead to a ridiculous managerial overhead and lots of confusion for our staff.

I will keep the platform running but recommend you phone through all orders to ensure we have stock before you make the journey to collect.

They are currently offering to switch back to the old portal but their staff don't work weekends 🤣.

I'll do everything I can to keep online ordering at Lenny's - even if it's with a different platform provider.

So I was having this exact conversation with Trym a few days ago. I don't do the fake smiling as I am singing, I don't care if I am bottom of the top 1000 singers, I don't care if I can't hit the highest note or the lowest. I don't care for the posing for photos on stage, if you are lucky enough to get a picture of me where I don't look like Chunk from The Goonies, frame it.... you will catch me swaying, tapping to the beat, looking like I am having an epileptic fit most of the time, I will occasionally f**k up a note, lose my note, I don't care for perfection or 1 millions fans on FB..... Your worth shouldn't be based on followers. If you see a fat bit poking out, lucky you.... if I dribble as I sing, which is likely.....try to bottle it, my germs are worth 1000s.... I don't do cheese..... or gimmic.... I've worn the same suspender style trousers on stage (which I may add, I designed around 28 years ago and companies ripped off) for the last 28 years.....washed of course... My point is, I simply don't give a s**t about being popular and perfect.... and NOR SHOULD YOU.

What I do hope I get right is passion, when I sing, I believe in what I do and when I sing, I believe that passion can light up the room... Martin Powell, Ex COF/My Dying Bride..... once jumped to my defence in an online forum thread where someone said how s**t I was at singing and he said "Its not about being perfect, its about the passion in the voice, if you lack that, you shouldn't sing, you shouldn't be judging music if you want perfection".

Does this make sense? To me it does.

I'd like to warn people that an Amazon van hit the Lenny's sign that overhangs the path this afternoon when it mounted the pavement and reversed. It's hanging off one of the hooks. I've reported this to my landlord and await an inspection and hope it can be strapped until a proper repair can take place. Thanks.
