💀 Oh my what a few days to round off the season with! 🦇

It was so exciting to bring together so many people to pull off multiple events, we had the best time and we hope you did too! From Halloween Feasts to Afternoon Tea and Tarot, it's been a wild few days! Who loves picture #2 of us peeling beetroot- I swear it looked spookier than the haunted house we built on Saturday! 😬🦇✨

Thank you so much to everyone who's been a wonderful guest or a fabulous co-host in our 2026 season. We're back in just a few days for our extra special event with Inveraray Seafood Shack and then it's hibernation time until Christmas... We do hope to see you there!

Well it's certainly been a weekend here in Argyll with a double dose of storms! ⛈️

We hope all are safe and well after such a wild night! You wouldn't believe it if you could see how clear the sky is now!.

We're down to our last few days of normal opening for Ocho! Saying we close for winter sounds a bit more glamorous than the reality, that we have a few weeks off before Festive events, private dinners and open for the holidays 😂

🦞 And just like that, we’ve come full circle 🦀

We kick started the year with a co-lab with our pals from the Inveraray Seafood Shack, (you'll note Grant managed to avoid getting in the photo for that one too) , so it feels only right as we get ready to finish the season, to be combining forces once again!

Join us for a Seafood Tasting Menu of dreams on the 6th or 7th of November, with an Oyster and Ch*****ne pop up bar ready for your arrival too! Booking available via the link in our bio, but be warned, we are already halfway to fully booked so get in there quick as spaces are limited!

Not more scenery? Sorry, sorry, but my gosh will you just look at our beautiful wee town!

The temperature is dropping as autumn slowly draws his blanket tighter around us, but those beautiful colours aren't letting up and it appears we have a weekend of sunshine ahead! So what better way to enjoy your time than join us for dinner this Friday, Saturday or Sunday?

With our seafood ala carte and then an epic build your own ramen night on Sunday (sit in or takeaway!), we have loads going on for our final few weeks!

Here are the two boats we start and end our new commute with 🛥️ Cairndow to Inveraray, you are a dream!

(Fun fact - these pictures were both taken on the same morning 15 mins away from each other down Loch Fyne.. No wonder no one can predict Scottish weather ⛈️)

I am painfully aware we get to this time of year and I spend more time uploading photos of the scenery than I do of our specials, but I think autumn in Argyll and Bute is like something out of a fairytale. We have about 3 weeks left of the most beautiful colours and a Loch like a mirror - where I feel warm and fuzzy and full of the joys of life living in such a picture perfect part of the world.

Until November hits... 😬🍂

31st & 1st November - Tea and Tarot! We're combining a spooky afternoon tea with the amazing from chaos to cosmos who will be giving personalised Tarot readings to all our guests! Tickets are strictly limited so get booking asap for this super special event!

6th & 7th November - Ocho x Seafood Shack #2! We started the season so it's time to close off the season with our wonderful neighbors! With an exceptional tasting menu and optional w**e pairing, it's set to be another fabulous event!

How, HOW we ask, is it getting to that time of year? 🫢

The one where I start thinking about life beyond the tourist season - wondering where to get a new fleece from, and Christmas Decorations are slowly creeping into my peripheral vision… 🎄😂

It also means the countdown is on to our final Staff Canteen - this ones Italian style 🇮🇹🍷

Our 'Staff Canteen' started as a big thank you to everyone who has worked with us, supported us, popped through the doors, shared a drink, eaten a plate of something delicious or simply helped make Inveraray such a brilliant wee place to be. And we cannot believe it's still a hot date in the diary for so many of you so many months on! ♥️

So who's joining us this time, for our final Staff & Locals night (unless we can come up with a spooky enough something...?)
