We had the most fun heading to London for a few days and being on the receiving end of some fabulous food and drinks (even if the weather was quite frankly, more confused than Inveraray can be! Blissful Sunshine to Thunder and Lightning in half an hour, sound familiar Argyll and Bute-ians?)

Add some bike rides and comedy shows and art galleries and sight seeing and lots of spicy margaritas and it's fair to say Head Chef Grant had a wonderful birthday 😂🌶️

Back to work today though to get out deliveries organised and menus written to get back to looking after you all as of tomorrow!

We still have space for our tasting menu tomorrow night - we're into the final few weeks of this menu so drop us a DM to book for a complimentary glass of champagne to keep the birthday vibes going 😂 6pm or 8pm!

Wowee what a day - I'll keep this short as if you're on your phone and not in the sun then you need to rectify that asap!

We had the most fabulous weekend, the busiest we've had in our 4 years here! And our neighbors celebrating their 250th birthday next door made it a weekend to remember!

Thank you to all who came to visit, but if you yourself were working your wee socks off too, keep Monday the 15th free for our next Staff Canteen! We're cooking Mexican, with food and drinks deals galore, designed just for our valued workers and locals to enjoy 👨🏻‍🍳🍹

Can there be any better way to spend a Sunday than sipping tea (or prosecco 🥂) to a live small ensemble playing all of the best bridgerton covers in the background as you catch up with friends over afternoon tea?? We dare you to try! 🩷

It's been two years since our first Bridgerton Afternoon Tea with the wonderful who also hail from Inveraray. Local co-labs are just the most fun, but boy how does time fly?

We've a busy week ahead with the bank holiday coming up, but for today, we will relax with this wonderful music! Catch yah on Wednesday, where we'll be open right through until the Bank Holiday Monday! ✨

Beautiful Pan Seared Scallops on the specials board last weekend, and back this Friday!

Three large scallops delicately prepped by, believe it or not, me (that was a fun morning learning what on earth to do!) but of course Grant had to take over with the cooking of these jewels of the sea to produce this wonderful dish!

💙 Sunrise over Loch Fyne 💛

Not to keep going on about the weather or anything, but how amazing is it to be experiencing this glorious sunshine in Inveraray! ☀️

I don't know about you, but for us Winter can be really tough being rural, everything feels dark and cold and quiet, and it can be hard to keep your chin up and power through. But then all of a sudden you are rewarded for persevering and you can't think of anywhere in the world you would ever want to be, nevermind have the honour of living in!

It feels great to report that the season is truly already in swing, and we are loving being back to having busy days and nights in Ocho! Along with some new members of the team which means we are going to be opening 6 days a week as of next, PLUS our new Sunday Steak Frites which will be launching soon. (Moules Frites on offer too but that doesn't have the same ring to it as Sunday Steaks 😂)

We hope to see you all over the bank holiday weekend, but if not, we hope you enjoy it with some sunshine wherever you are! 🥂

Oh Inveraray aren't you beautiful! ☀️

We cannot believe the sudden shift in weather but oh boy are we loving it! Goodbye hats and jackets and hello sunglasses!

Thank you so much to everyone who came along to our staff and locals night, here's to the next one!

We are closed for the next two days, with a lovely family trip planned for my dad's birthday, but we'll be back on Thursday to begin the bank holiday celebrations! We have a few spots available for our seafood tasting menu on Friday & Saturday, and everything else in between. Join us for the best loch side views in our big bay windows 💙

⚓ The Staff Canteen! ✨ (Except make it Ocho)

Grant's popping his hair net on for our brand new workers and locals night! From 5pm on the last Monday of the month, we're offering the hard working people of Inveraray and surrounds a night of deals from Ocho!

We're digging out the Chinese Takeaway recipe book that you all oh so loved, and offering up a £15 main, £5 sides, drinks from £3 and cocktails at £6! Vegan and Gluten Free options available, and takeaway too, starting this Monday!

☀️ Dies Solis - Sunnandæg - Sunday ☀️

After the chaos of yesterday's weather, how delightful was it that today's Posey Party brought some springtime sunshine to our morning of hand tied bouquets and brunch! Huge thanks to for hosting such a wonderful event!

It's so refreshing to have some good weather grace us after what feels like months of rain! Not quite as refreshing as our accidental dip in Loch Fyne yesterday was though... 😂

We are open tomorrow from 12-4 with all sorts of lovely specials and oyster and prosecco deals to enjoy in (hopefully) some sunshine! ⚓🦪

✨ Picnic Time! 💙

We've had a very very busy few weeks, not only as the season begins but with some awesome commissions and new plans! We were asked to make this for a very special customer and thought, what a wonderful idea! If you think an Ocho picnic sounds like the ideal treat, get in touch!

And if you've seen our stories, you'll know the chaos we caused at today's Inveraray Pier Market with our flyWay gazebo 😂 Grant and James wading into Loch Fynes to retrieve it for me was true hero vibes, along with the wonderful members of the public and other market vendors who stepped in to help us! We pray for better weather for May's Market 😂

We're launching a new monthly event too, the Staff Canteen! On the last Monday of the month, starting on the 27th, for all locals and hard working lovelies of Inveraray, enjoy a set meal for £15, drinks promos and £6 cocktails, sit in, or take away if you can't get it off! Who's in?

Tomorrow we have BRUNCH specials, mimosas, and a flower bar just because! 🩷
