Apparently Vera is a “cute little chic”… according to Irene anyway. 😂

SUNDAY SALES ASSISTANT – JOIN OUR TEAM!

Got Sundays free? Fancy earning a little extra while working somewhere a bit different?

We’re looking for a friendly, enthusiastic part-time Sales Assistant to join the team at Morgan McVeigh’s of Colpy.

Sundays only | 10am–4pm

The role will be predominantly in our Food Hall, serving customers, replenishing stock and generally helping to keep everything looking its best. From time to time, you may also be asked to lend a hand in our ladies fashion boutique, so no two Sundays are necessarily quite the same!

We’re looking for someone who:

* Enjoys meeting and chatting to people
* Is friendly, reliable and happy to get stuck in
* Has a good eye for presentation
* Is comfortable working as part of a small team
* Previous experience of operating a till and card machine would be preferred— although personality and attitude are just as important

It could be ideal if you’re looking for a little extra income, want to get out and about one day a week, or simply enjoy working with people.

One day a week. No evenings. A friendly team and plenty of variety.

A little weekend update from Morgan McVeigh’s ❤️

Firstly — thank you! We’ve been absolutely delighted by just how busy our restaurant has become at weekends.

One of the things we’re very proud of is that our meals are freshly cooked to order. We don’t want to change that — and we don’t want to compromise on the quality of the food or the service you receive.

But when several larger groups arrive at the same time, it can put a lot of pressure on the kitchen and mean longer waits than we would like.

So, going forward, we’ll now ask that groups of 5 or more please book in advance for weekend visits.

Smaller groups and walk-ins are still very welcome, as always, subject to availability.

It simply helps us manage the flow into the kitchen so that we can keep doing what we do best — serving proper, freshly cooked food, made to order.

Thank you so much for keeping us busy, and for helping us look after both our customers and our kitchen team. ❤️

❤️ From 5 to 89½… we really do cater for everyone!

Wee Angus, aged 5, enjoying a Morgan McVeigh’s catch-up with his lovely great-grandma — 89½, and we’re told the half is very important! 😄

With Mum and Grandma there too, that made four generations of one family meeting up around the table. And really, that’s exactly what we love our restaurant being — a place where families can meet, catch up, have a laugh and enjoy some good old-fashioned country cooking together.

Breakfast, lunch, tea and cake… there’s usually something to keep every generation happy. ❤️

Our glove table is absolutely bursting with colour just now — soft everyday styles, smarter leather gloves and everything from bright pinks and reds to classic black, navy and neutrals.

And if your eye goes straight to the rather unusual fluffy handbag in the corner… yes, that really is a handbag. 😄
