Continuing with our busy week. Today you will find us NSA Scotsheep Wedderlie Farm until 5pm. Our Trike will also be Ronan’s Primary School this evening for their annual summer fair. 6-8pm plus ice cream cartons supplied for Peebles Rainbows 🌈 Guides & Brownies for their end of term treat.

Who loves a new trend?

When Ross & Kat approached us looking to have ice cream at their local wedding on 30th May we were more than happy to accommodate. Ross’s family originated from the Philippines 🇵🇭 so when they asked if we could turn one of their favourite flavours Ube into an ice cream we had to give it a bash.

Ube is a type of purple yam natively grown in the Philippines where it has been a staple at family dinner tables for thousands of years. It has a sweet and creamy flavour with distinct notes of vanilla and nuttiness. A perfect addition for ice cream 🍦
Ube has become the latest viral sensation in becoming the new Matcha with major coffee shops already embracing the vibrant purple colour across their establishments.

The feedback from Ross & Kat the day after their wedding was that their family were extremely exited to see Ube ice cream being dished up to them at their reception and that it was a huge talking point the day after.🤩

We hope to keep this flavour as a regular in our cabinets, so if you are in and it’s available give it a try & let us know what you think?

So the weather hasn’t been the best over the weekend for the 2 events we attended with our unit. However, it was lovely to see so many people out supporting these events however miserable it was☺️. Here’s a pic of the very first Chelsea Pensioner to visit Innerleithen and take a few moments out of his Chieftain duties to enjoy one of our Homemade Ice Creams.🍦💙

Busy day making ahead of a busy month for our outdoor events unit. 🚐🍦

June has always been our busiest month for our unit and this year is certainly no different with a few more events and 2 weddings flung in for good measure.
It all starts off tomorrow on our own doorstep with the Innerleithen 23rd Pipeband Championships in The Vale of Leithen Football Park. 🥁🪈

Sunday you will find us at Riverside Care Home in Selkirk for their annual Riverfest Fundraiser🧁☕️🛝🎡🍦Honoured to be part of these fantastic events.❤️
