Hi folks,

Looking for a member of staff for Get Loose Cafe in Hoylake. Barista experience preferred. 16-24 hours per week, initially, potentially growing to 32.

Mostly weekday hours with the odd Saturday shift.

We specialise in loose teas, so new staff will be fully trained so that they’re able to talk to customers about our products.

Our annual Tea Trade dinner and some of us have been there for last 10yrs, it's just keeps getting better with people from all over the world 🌎.

One thing Which stood out over the years is gender equality at senior level and it's visible now at the dinner.

Tea sourcing - Although hand plucking is still done, the majority of Kenyan tea estates have mechanised, and use a Valiant harvester like you can see in the video. Essentially a huge rotary lawn mower on stilts, it’s much faster than hand plucking, and helps tea estates keep manufacturing costs down. While the cost of production is ever rising, the price of tea is not.
