So far this scorching hot summer, we've had no troubles with aphids. I hope I'm not tempting fate.
We do like to plant Lemon Grasd amongst our crops, here us our trials tunnel. We also place z big pot of Lemon Grass in our seed saving greenhouses. Lemon Grass is a natural source of citronella, as found in insect repellent candles. Works inside too.
As a bonus, straps of cut Lemon Grass placed in and around the raised beds seems to deter the local cat population from using them for their convenience...

The Great Dorset Chilli Festival is this weekend, busy cooking upvsome great sauces.
Now, will you survive the Black Death?
Possibly the hottest sauce I've ever made. Mango Madness, Evil Naga, Haba Haba Mango, last year's award winner The Growler, Fruitkenstein 2.0, H***y Goat, Mayan Magyk and Tomato Tickle 2.0

We have also been busy, some new chilli seeds, chilli plant display.

Something for the weekend?
We're back in Trowbridge for the first time this year at wonderful Trowbridge Weavers Market.
So here's a picture of Mayan Magick being cooked up, it's s Rocoto chillies based sauce, and really rather nice.
Saturday 10 to 4 in Fore Street.

Due to the extreme heat, we are closing early tomorrow 24th and Thursday 25th June.
Its just too hot!
