We’re aiming for 1st July as our official opening date, and we couldn’t be more excited!

There’s still plenty to do behind the scenes, but everything is coming together and we can’t wait to welcome you through our doors. Thank you so much for all the support, encouragement, and excitement you’ve shown us so far—it truly means the world.

We had a lot of fun today putting up the new signage and adding the flowers. From the very beginning, we wanted to make sure everything complemented the character of the building and the charm of Horncastle itself. As the building has so much history, it was important to us that any changes felt sympathetic to its age and surroundings, rather than looking rushed or out of place.

The flowers, colours, and signage were all chosen with that in mind, helping to create a welcoming space while respecting the heritage and character of the area. Seeing it all come together has been incredibly rewarding, and sometimes we still have to stop and take a moment to realise that this is actually our shop.

We hope you like what we’ve done with the place so far. There’s still plenty of excitement ahead, but we can’t wait to welcome you all through our doors very soon and share The Good Spud with the wonderful people of Horncastle. 🥔🌸✨

We’ve been having a little play around with it, getting everything set up and making sure it’s working perfectly. Now it’s ready to go!

Today we’ve been dyeing and waxing the original wood, restoring its natural beauty while keeping that timeless character we all love. ✨

For us, it’s so important to preserve the history and unique features of the building, carefully restoring them so they can be appreciated and enjoyed for years to come.

We’re really pleased with how the wood is coming back to life and how the different tones are creating contrast throughout the space. 🤎

We’re looking for 2–3 drivers to join our growing team, starting in July!

⏰ Shifts: 5:00pm – 9:30pm (Monday–Sunday)
🚗 Must have your own vehicle and a valid driving licence (car, motorbike or van)
📍 Delivering to Horncastle and surrounding local villages
📅 Flexible shifts available throughout the week

We’re looking for reliable, friendly people who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and providing great customer service. Delivery experience is a bonus, but not essential.

This is a great opportunity to be part of an exciting local business as we continue to grow.

3 out of 5 indoor tables are now fitted! We decided to go for a clean, modern look by attaching them directly to the wall panelling, which took a lot of work, but I think it was definitely worth it. They’ve turned out exactly how I imagined.

On the left-hand side, we have two 4-seater tables and a window table that seats 3. Opposite, on the right-hand side, there will be another two 4-seater tables.
