Today, a piece of paper touched our hearts...

Today we received our official Food Hygiene Rating poster at Bengal Balti. It may seem like just a poster to many—but to us, it means the world.

It means early mornings, late nights, and a kitchen where every corner is cleaned with care.
It means our chefs, like Juber, Rashid, and Alom, sweating near the tandoor—never complaining.
It means Ahmed, our manager, checking every fridge, every record—day after day.
And it means our beloved Mandy, our delivery driver, who not only delivers food with a smile but often steps inside to help us clean, pack, and support—without ever being asked.

She’s more than a driver—she’s family.

Most of you know me as Gerry, but my real name is Ahmed. However, my true identity? I am the one who works tirelessly to bring a smile to your face, day and night.

Bengal Balti is not just a restaurant; it’s my passion, my life. I don’t just serve food—I serve love, warmth, and a piece of my heart with every meal.

Many of you may not know this, but one day, during a terrible storm with heavy rain and freezing cold winds, when the streets were flooded, I personally drove out to deliver food. I knew someone was waiting, someone was hungry, someone was looking forward to the comfort of our food.

I was drenched, I was shivering, I walked through muddy streets… but you know what? The moment I saw the smile on my customer’s face when they opened the door, every struggle felt worth it. 🥺

I don’t do this for business—I do this because I care about you. I don’t want anyone to go hungry, I don’t want anyone to feel disappointed waiting for their favorite meal. When you eat at Bengal Balti, I want you to taste not just the flavors but also the love and dedication that goes into every dish.
