A special 18th Birthday cake for Bella, celebrating her upcoming adventures looking after turtles in Greece.

The colouring for this cake was inspired by Bella having to get up at dawn to go to the turtle beach to help in their conservation efforts. I airbrushed the sea and sky effect, added crushed biscuits to create the sand, hand-modelled these cute turtles and underwater plants & corals and used edible prints for the photo, passport and flag.

This cake was made for Sandie's 70th Birthday celebrations. It featured a hand-made sugar peony surrounded by delicate hydrangea flowers and an acrylic topper. Sandie's name on the front was created using embosser lettering highlighted with a subtle gold edible paint. Her cake was a family favourite of traditional sponge, multi-layered with butter icing and raspberry jam.

Congratulations to Janine and Barry who were married last month at Roslin Beach Hotel in Southend, Essex. The design for their wedding cake was inspired by their wedding stationery, beautiful beach front setting, and delicate lace decoration on Janine's wedding dress. The top tier was chocolate orange sponge and the base tier was strawberries and champagne sponge. The shells and starfish were a mix of moulded and hand-shaped icing which, along with the pearls and flowers, were all edible. Non-edible accents of grass and dried flowers were then also added to enhance the design.

They added 3 cupcakes made with gluten free flour for guests who do not eat gluten. These were topped with butter icing swirls and icing shells, before being set in clear boxes and tied with matching ribbon.

Congratulations to Emily and Matt who celebrated their wedding at The Old Parish Rooms with this natural, icing sugar dusted, 2 tier cake. They opted for a top tier of lemon and elderflower sponge and the bottom tier was chocolate sponge.

I decorated the cake with non-edible flowers, supplied by Christine's of Hockley. The flowers, which were all carefully prepared using posy picks to protect the cake, were removed before serving. This cute display was then topped with a pretty bunting topper.

Congratulations to Maisie and Alex who were married at The Lawn on Saturday. They celebrated in glorious sunshine with this naked, 4 tiers wedding cake decorated with fresh fruit, fresh flowers and a generous sprinkling of icing sugar.

Their tiers were raspberry and almond, raspberry and white chocolate, strawberries and champagne, and Biscoff and by all accounts it went down very well with all their guests.

Please note, all fresh flowers were carefully prepared using posy picks to avoid any contact with the cake and were removed before serving.

Congratulations to Katy and Taz who were married at the weekend at Mulberry House. Their cake featured whitened butter icing with a groove texture, accented with artificial flowers and a pretty personalised topper.

They had 2 tiers of chocolate sponge, layered with chocolate butter icing and a tier of traditional sponge, layered with butter icing and raspberry jam.

Congratulations to Chanel and Ricky who were married in Colchester at the weekend. They celebrated with this 2 tier ganache iced wedding cake, decorated with artificial flowers, edible pearl sprinkles and laser cut acrylic cake charm. Their sponges were traditional sponge and red velvet.

Huge congratulations to Jamie and Alan who were married at The Lawn at the end of March. Their "semi-naked" butter iced cake featured faux sunflowers and foliage, acrylic topper and hand-made icing models of their very special dogs. The cakes were a mix of Strawberries & Champagne, Chocolate, and Lemon & Elderflower, which all continue to be very popular choices.
