UPDATE to attack on Fat Joes Gourmet Burgers. Thank you to the local community and our loyal customers who have been scouring the local area to provide information on this attack. As a result of this, Fat Joes is asking you to look out for a metallic dark blue VW Golf TDI SE with the registration BK54 JCX. If spotted anywhere, please take note of the date, time and any description of the occupants then relay that information to us.

Fat Joes would like to apologise for the tone of this post. It is being written in shock, bewilderment and anger. Fat Joes was attacked Wednesday night at 21:45 by four individuals one of whom threw two bricks through the open door targeting a member of staff and then myself. Thankfully no-one was injured by the projectiles. Following the bricks, a 10 litre tub of white paint was hurled inside the takeaway. Extensive damage was caused to the interior and equipment which has recently been undergoing refurbishment. I’ll let the photo speak for themselves. I am simply a foodie who liked the food at Fat Joes so much, I bought the business. I employ local staff and support the community by sourcing all of our raw materials and ingredients from the local area while attempting to keep our prices the lowest in the area during this economic downturn. Although the actions of last night by a criminal minority have left me shaken, I know they do not speak for you and I would like to assure you that my faith and drive in continuing to do what you say we do best has not and will not be broken. I would like to thank our regular customers and community friends who have provided support. The same individuals who have been repulsed by this abhorrent act. I have replaced 95% of the damaged equipment but the cosmetic cleanup is ongoing. There will be no disruption in Fat Joes continuing to operate and provide the food so many of you love. However, if you visit over the next few days, you will probably find me sponge and mop in hand, diligently cleaning the paint and the futility of this attack away.

Fat Joes knows our customers may want to choose how they like their burger! This is a custom double stacked crispy chicken with hash brown and grated mozzarella cheddar blend. Just like how one of our customers wanted it. How do you like yours?
