The Sidings re-opening update

We wanted to provide an update and reassure our guests that we are working hard behind the scenes to reopen The Sidings as soon as possible.

The wait is almost over; we will be re-opening early September and we have lots of exciting things instore, to welcome you back on board.

If you were planning on popping into The Sidings this weekend, we're really going to miss you.

While our doors may be closed for now, we're working hard behind the scenes and hope to open back up as quickly as possible. In the meantime, we'd love to welcome you to our sister restaurant, Carriages, just 2 minutes around the corner.

Whether you're joining us for a relaxed Saturday lunch, one of our delicious Sunday roasts, or discovering our evening service with a seasonal à la carte menu, you'll find the same warm hospitality waiting for you.

Important update from The Sidings

To our valued customers,
We want to share an important update regarding The Sidings.
Since opening in 2024, we've welcomed thousands of customers and have worked hard to create a unique destination centred around our beautifully restored railway carriages. Maintaining heritage structures like these requires ongoing care and investment, and from time-to-time important works need to take place behind the scenes. Therefore, we have had to temporarily close.

At this stage, we are unable to confirm a reopening date, and do not want to provide a date we may not be able to meet. We want to be completely transparent and keep our customers informed as progress is made.

Our team will be contacting all customers with upcoming bookings directly to discuss their arrangements. If you have a booking and have not yet heard from us, please contact the team and we will be happy to assist.

We sincerely apologise for any disappointment or inconvenience this may cause. We understand many of you have special occasions, family gatherings and celebrations planned with us, and we share in your frustration that we cannot welcome you as expected.

Your support genuinely means everything to us, and we look forward to welcoming you back to an even better The Sidings as soon as we can.

Due to the safety of our customers, both of our access ramps are currently out of order. Unfortunately, this means they cannot be used to access the train carriages at this time. 🚂

You are more than welcome to enjoy our outdoor garden area instead, where our full menu is still being served, perfect for making the most of the sunshine.

While you pop in for breakfast and a coffee, you can top up your charge, whether you're fuelling up for a long trip or just stopping by to make the most of our charging station.
