Brakspear is a family run pub company. We're all about the long term. Finding great people to run our pubs means our pubs are places that people want to visit. We work closely with Marstons who brew our beers for us over at their brewery in Witney, Oxfordshire.

Last Friday, we hosted our 9th Annual Brakspear Golf Day, welcoming our pub teams to in Henley-on-Thames for a fantastic day on the course. ⛳️

From impressive drives to the occasional wayward shot, the day was filled with great golf, plenty of laughs, and well-deserved awards.

Congratulations to team for winning the day, with 2nd place going to , 3rd place and 4th 🏆

A big thank you to Badgemore Park for their wonderful hospitality and to Heineken for their continued support. We’re already looking forward to next year!

Happy 🍺

Today we're raising a glass to Britain's rich brewing heritage and everyone who keeps the industry thriving- from brewers and publicans to the customers who support their local.

At Brakspear, we've been brewing beer since 1711, but great beer is only part of the story. For over 300 years, pubs have brought people together to share conversations, celebrations and memorable moments.

This Beer Day Britain, we'd like to say thank you to everyone who chooses to enjoy a pint in their local pub and helps keep this great British tradition thriving.

With Father’s Day just around the corner, what better way to celebrate than by shining a spotlight on our very own father and son duo, Pete and Tom, at The Horseshoe in London. 🍻

Pete will celebrate an incredible 30 years as business owner of The Horseshoe next year, and around 10 years ago he welcomed his son Tom into the business.

Since then, the pair have worked side by side, combining experience, passion and plenty of hard work to make The Horseshoe the welcoming community pub it is today.

From all of us, we’d like to wish Pete and all father figures a very Happy Father’s Day! 💙

A proud moment for us also, a worthy award for a beautiful venue and equally great team!

🍻 VAT’s The Problem. Let’s Make Our Voice Heard.

Pubs are more than businesses. They create jobs, support local suppliers, bring communities together, and play a vital role in keeping our high streets thriving.

But hospitality businesses continue to face mounting challenges, from rising employment costs and food inflation to increasing energy and operational expenses.

That’s why hospitality leaders across the UK have united behind the VAT’s The Problem campaign, calling on Government to reduce hospitality VAT from 20% to 10%.

A lower VAT rate would bring the UK closer to many of our European neighbours and give hospitality businesses the opportunity to invest, grow, and protect jobs.

That’s why we’re supporting the VAT’s the problem campaign and we encourage others to add their name to the petition as well.

It takes less than a minute to sign, but together we can send a powerful message that hospitality deserves a fairer tax environment.

A very warm welcome to our newest business owners at The Maltsters Arms, Harrison & Summer. 🍻

Experienced hospitality managers, this passionate couple have taken on their first pub tenancy with Brakspear- and what a fantastic start they’ve made already.

Located in the beautiful village of Rotherfield Greys, Henley-on-Thames, The Maltsters Arms has received wonderful feedback since opening at the beginning of April.

Together with chef Charlie, Harrison & Summer have launched delicious new menus featuring everything from fresh sourdough sandwiches with salad to evening pub classics like fish & chips, steak frites, and of course, a traditional Sunday roast with all the trimmings. 🍽️

The pub welcomes the whole family, including four-legged friends, and even has a sports area at the end of the garden for children to enjoy.

We’re excited to watch Harrison & Summer thrive in their new venture. If you’re in the area, be sure to pop in and show your support.
