Steeped in history and brimming with charm, our Grade II listed pub has been at the heart of West Sussex since 1370 🏡. Once two cottages (and even a grocery shop!), it became a public house in the 1700s — and today, it’s a much-loved spot where history, good food, and great company meet.
Pull up a chair by the huge fireplace , enjoy a pint of cask ale , a glass of w**e , or tuck into proper pub food . On sunny days, our huge garden is the perfect place to relax — and yes, your furry friends are always welcome 🐶.
You’ll find curious artefacts on our walls & ceilings , stories waiting to be told by friendly locals, and a warm atmosphere whatever the season.
