Day 3 Round-Up – What a way to finish our 150th celebrations! 🎉🍻
What an incredible finale to an unforgettable weekend celebrating 150 years of The Crown.
From a fantastic hog roast to the brilliant pétanque exhibition, a bustling Pimm’s tent, an amazing raffle, live music throughout the day, and everyone gathering to watch the World Cup Final, the village certainly gave us a celebration to remember. We even managed to drink the bar dry, nearly selling out of beer before the day was over!
A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the day so special. We’d especially like to thank Mad Swans, The Counter Coffee Shop, Rachel Vitolo for donating a lovely painting and one very generous customer who kindly donated a bottle of whisky for our raffle prizes. A special shout-out also goes to Meadow Cottage Farm for creating a delicious limited-edition ice cream especially to mark our 150th anniversary.
Most importantly, thank you to our wonderful community and everyone who came along over the three days. Your continued support is what keeps The Crown at the heart of our wonderful village, and we’re incredibly grateful. It’s events like these that capture what makes this pub so special!
Finally, an enormous thank you to every volunteer, every member of staff, and the committee who gave up their time and worked so hard behind the scenes to organise such a fantastic three-day celebration.
Here’s to the next chapter of The Crown and thank you all for helping us celebrate two remarkable years of management and capture 150 years in a special way. ❤️🍺
P.S. keep an eye out for more photos this week!
