We hope you all had a fantastic Common Riding and enjoyed the celebrations. We certainly did! It was a busy and wonderful few days for us, so it's time to recharge our batteries. 😊
Therefore, we will be closed on:

🏆 | 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓/𝟐𝟔 𝐇𝐑𝐀 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬 𝐃𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐫

The Club can confirm details of its Annual Awards Dinner to take place this year on Saturday 9th May at the Mansfield House Hotel.

The event kicks off at 7pm with a 3-course-meal provided by Adam's Kitchen.

For the rest of the evening we have a line-up consisting of Ex-Ranger Charlie Miller, Ex-Celt Simon Donnelly and renowned after dinner-speaker and comedian Raymond Mearns to entertain everyone, followed by the player trophy presentations and raffle.

🎙️ | Charlie Miller has made 334 professional appearances (including 131 games in the English Premier League) and played for Leicester, Watford, Rangers and Dundee United, as well as for top level clubs in Belgium, Norway, and Australia. He was part of the famous 9-in-a-row Rangers side and was named SPFA Young Player of the Year in 1995.

In his 6 caps for Scotland (including U21) he starred in the Scotland U21 team who famously reached the 1996 Euros semifinals, narrowly losing 2-1 to a Spanish team including Morientes and Mendieta, and against a France team including Viera, Wiltord, Pires, and Makalele.

🎙️ | Simon made 335 professional appearances for clubs including Partick Thistle, Sheffield Wednesday and Celtic, and was capped 21 times for the Scotland International squad (full caps + U21) including games against Denmark, the USA, and Columbia.

Forced to retire due to injury, Simon became assistant manager at Dundee United before moving into radio and TV punditry, which in turn led to DONNELLY & MILLER’S hilarious participation in the popular touring theatre show ‘Singing I’m No A Billy, He’s A Tim’.

🎙️ | Raymond Mearns is a highly regarded Scottish comedian, actor, and after-dinner speaker, known for his quick wit and unique brand of humour. Born in Glasgow, he began his career in comedy in the 1990s, quickly gaining recognition for his talent as both a stand-up comedian and an after-dinner speaker.

Tickets for the dinner are priced at £35 (£30 for HRA Club Members).

💙⚽️ | Hawick Royal Albert is proud to announce that our refurbished clubrooms at Albert Park have been officially named after Club President Irene Hutchison, in recognition of Irene’s outstanding service to the Club.

Irene has dedicated more than 50 years to Hawick Royal Albert, serving tirelessly on the committee since the early 1970’s and giving an extraordinary amount of time, commitment, and care to the Club she loves. Her contribution to the Albert over five decades is undoubted and this honour is a small way of saying thank you for a lifetime of dedication.

📣 | All are welcome to join us at Albert Park on Saturday for the official naming ceremony, starting from 5pm, following our scheduled EoS League match vs Tweedmouth Rangers. This will be followed by dominoes and pool competitions, with cash prizes up for grabs and a buffet provided.

Irene’s friends and family will be in attendance, and we would love to see members of the Albert family, past and present, there to help celebrate a truly deserving Club President.
