Did you pick your usual “go to”? 🤏🏻

The joy of canapés is that they're the perfect opportunity to try something new, exciting and delicious.

And they are totally perfect for weddings. Let's face it, timings at weddings are often later than the average day, and bellies can be rumbling during ceremonies and while sipping fizz afterwards. 🥂

So when me and my wonderful catering team bring out a plate of scrumptious, mouth watering canapés to a room full of hungry guests, they get snapped up in seconds 😋

A highlight in the farming calendar is always the local agricultural shows, so it was such a pleasure to sponsor the BBQ at the Benty Show!

Helping raise funds and keep the show going for another year is just SO important as it's such a great way of celebrating the year. ❤️

We love showing and judging our best stock at some of the shows and coming together with the community, as well as entering bakes into the industrial section. The kids adore the games in the field and fell runs - mine especially LOVE the Benty fell run which is so steep and hard going but a real test of stamina. 🏃🏻

My husband, of course, enjoys sampling the b**rs in the b**r tent! 🍻

Well done to all the organisers and entrants for yet another marvellous show! 👏🏻

While I adore catering for large events with hundreds of people, small, intimate gatherings also hold a big place in my heart ❤️

This surprise 60th anniversary was no exception! Kim and I surprised the lovely couple and served a selection of scrum canapes, beautiful hot smoked salmon or roast beef (with all the trimmings) and a sweet selection of mini desserts. 👌🏻

It's so lovely to tailor everything perfectly and run a completely seamless service, fitting in exactly where the clients want us.

It can be a little nerve-wracking cooking for smaller numbers, but those nerves soon went away when I saw how plates were fully cleared. There's no bigger compliment, is there?! 🍽️

Wonderful suppliers (T Elliot and Sons and ) came up trumps once again. Look at the wonderful beef and salmon! 🤤

Dinner party with some wonderful clients? Go on then, a perfect job! 😍

I loved working with this marvellous family for a delicious dinner party! Claire and I even raided their stunning garden (which was still in full bloom) to decorate the table. Aren't those flowers gorgeous?! See last photo! 🌺

🧑🏻‍🍳 On the menu:

🥗 Fennel, pomegranate, feta and dill salad.

🥕 Thai carrots on a tahini bed.

🍅 Herbie roasted tomatoes and peppers on a bed of caramelised onion and hummus with a drizzle of maple syrup and fresh herbs.

🍗 Chicken fatteh, which is beautiful layers of toasted pitta with garlicky yoghurt and a lovely warm tomato salsa, along with spicy roasted chicken (packed with cumin, paprika, cinnamon, cardamom and cloves - heaps of yummy fresh herbs) and pomegranate layered with wild rice and caramelised spiced onions.

All the perfect little details to make a perfect Borders Ball! 🎉

It really was such a super event serving for 250 party goers.

There were beautiful blooms picked from the committee's gorgeous gardens and carefully placed on tables for the midnight breakfast feast. Delicious w**e courtesy of . 🍷

I loved the room at the top of the building at Victoria Halls where we served and everyone tucked into the food, especially because we could go round the corner to the gallery and look out at all the excited revellers dancing away below!

Such a fun night 🎉

Always sourcing only the best for the best clients 🐠

This scrumptious fish platter was served as part of a midnight breakfast feast for 250 excitable revelers at the Borders Ball in Selkirk. I thought it deserved a post on its own (though I can't WAIT to show you more from this brilliant event).

I get so much of my produce from as they always provide delicious, fresh fish that I'm always so impressed by. As a wonderful bonus, they're marvellous to deal with! Thanks guys! 🫶🏻
