Nestling at the foot of the South Downs, The Thatched Inn, with its picturesque roof of Norfolk reeds and oak beams, has spectacular views over the Sussex contryside to the Ditchling Beacon. Apart from the standard menu which includes chargrilled steaks and fresh fish,our special menu changes daily. Our Tuesday quiz is looking a little more golden this week. 🎗️👇🏼

Tomorrow night, local hero Neil the Guinness is stepping behind the quizmaster’s mic for a special Hassocks Goes Gold Charity Quiz at The Thatched Inn.

There’s no entry fee this week. Instead, we’ll have a collection bucket going around the pub, with every donation supporting Hassocks Goes Gold and - raising vital funds for research into childhood cancers with poor outcomes. 🎗️

One for the early-ish risers and the Sunday roast crowd... 😉

The Sussex Peasant is back with us this Saturday, which means our car park will once again be filled with great local Sussex produce, and we’ll be open from 10am with the coffee on and breakfast baps ready. ☕🥕

Come down, have a browse and make a morning of it!

You never quite know what our kitchen might come up with on a Tuesday or Thursday… 😉

This Korean fried chicken salad was one of our recent specials - a bit of a play on and homage to the Asian Beef Salad created by Head Chef Paul from our summer menu, but with its own twist.

Our Tuesday & Thursday specials give the kitchen a chance to get creative, make the most of seasonal ingredients and put something a little different on the board each week. 🍴✨

They change all the time, so this particular dish might be gone, but there’ll be something else waiting in its place.

Arancini to start, ham, egg & chips for main and a crumble to finish sounds pretty good to us. 🍴

Our set lunch menu is a chance to enjoy a proper pub lunch with a good variety to choose from in Hassocks, with a selection of seasonal dishes to choose from Monday to Friday from 12 p.m. to 2:45 p.m.

It’s looking like another very hot week in Sussex… ☀️

Luckily, we’ve got plenty of cooler spots to settle into around the garden, cold drinks behind the bar and £1 ice pops all week long. 🍦
