you have requested them within 2 weeks of the delivery date. Prices are subject to prices of ingredients at the time of purchase. You will be informed of any rises at least 1 month in advance. Any price rises are capped to a maximum of £10.00. Please note, all deposits are non-refundable. Please take note of the payment due dates above. If payment is late or not received, your order may be cancelled without notice. I cannot hold dates without a deposit being paid. By Proceeding with a purchase you are in agreement with our terms and conditions as stated above. Performance of this agreement is contingent upon the ability of ClairyCake to complete the agreement and is subject to labour disputes or strikes, Load shedding, accidents, Acts of God, and other causes beyond our control. Design Information
All Cakes are exclusive, bespoke and made to order. We can either design something new or you can chooses a design from my portfolio. If you choose a design from my portfolio I can, if you desire, change colours and flowers to compliment any theme that you may be having at your celebration. If you supply me with a photo of a cake that you would like me to make, please keep in mind that although I try to decorate it as close as possible to the original design, the cake will not look exactly like the cake in the photo. I am restricted to colours available and non-edible decorations like brooches & ribbon. I try to source the best and closest possible products but it is not always possible. Every cake decorator and designer has their own style of decorating and this may not always exactly match the design you have requested. If your cake design requires fresh flowers, your florist will supply these. Please liaise directly with your florist regarding the specific floral requirements and we will decorate the cake with the flowers on site. Please note some flowers are not suitable for use as a cake decoration. Ask your florist for details regarding toxicity. ClairyCake cannot be liable for any contamination to our food product that may arise from their misuse. The use of non-edible materials for cake decoration is becoming increasingly popular. Please note that the 'craft jewels' and accessories such as brooches, ribbons, silk flowers, diamante, beads, feathers etc. that are used to decorate some of our cakes are not edible and must be removed from your cake before serving. All of our decorative gems and accessories are only used at the clients request and ClairyCake accepts no responsibility for any physical harm that may arise from their use. Delivery Information
If the order includes delivery and set up at a venue it is the client’s responsibility to ensure that they have provided me with the correct contact details for the venue. Where deliveries are required prior to the event starting (such as a wedding), or where the client will not be at the venue to accept delivery, the client should arrange for access and ensure that the required area and any details (such as cake stands) will be ready and available. Delivery will be made at the agreed time between the client and ClairyCake. To ensure that there is no discrepancy regarding the condition of the cake after set up, ClairyCake will take photographs of the cake from all angles clearly showing the condition of the cake at its location. I cannot be held responsible for any loss of damage made to the cake either by the client, or by staff at the venue handling the cake. All cakes will be left in a secure condition. Limit of Liability: In the very unlikely event of severe medical, natural, or other emergencies, it may be necessary to retain an alternative Cake Designer. ClairyCake will make every effort to secure a replacement cake designer able and / or willing to provide similar products and services as chosen in this contract at the same / similar tariff. If such a situation should occur and a suitable replacement is not found, responsibility and liability is limited to the return of all payments received for the event. All cakes, cupcakes or cookies can be collected from ClairyCake. Please note that if the order is collected, the full responsibility for the safety of the cake, cupcakes or cookies is with the client and ClairyCake will not be responsible for any damage to the cake, cupcakes or cookies that may occur after it has left my care. Allergen Information
Our products contain dairy, wheat, nuts, soy, and other allergens. You agree to notify your guests of this risk and will not hold ClairyCake responsible for any allergic reactions. Nuts, Dairy or Eggs: If you have a food allergy, please contact me personally to discuss your requirements
Cancellations
Should you cancel your cake order the confirmation deposit (50%) is non-refundable and any specifically ordered items and work already undertaken in accordance with your order is additionally chargeable. For cake orders cancelled within 2 weeks of the completion date, the full balance will be charged. The monies paid for the cake cannot be used for a future order.
