Our first Sunday roast is underway and Chef Loz has been cooking up a treat in the kitchen! 👨‍🍳❤️

We’re trying something a little different here at Hartington Farm Shop & Café this Sunday… and we can’t wait to share it with you!

Our chef Loz will be cooking up something extra special !
a delicious, traditional Sunday roast, using locally sourced ingredients, freshly prepared and homemade with love! ❤️

🍽️ SUNDAY ROAST MENU 🍽️

🥩 LOCAL ROAST BEEF
Tender topside beef from our local butcher, served with creamy mashed potato, crispy duck-fat roast potatoes, orange-braised red cabbage with cinnamon & allspice, honey-roasted parsnips, broccoli and carrot batons. Finished with rich beef gravy and a homemade Yorkshire pudding.

🍗 HOMEMADE CHICKEN BALLOTINE
homemade chicken ballotine, served with creamy mashed potato, duck-fat roast potatoes, orange-braised red cabbage, honey-roasted parsnips, broccoli and carrot batons.

We’re very excited to share that Hartington Farm Shop & Café will soon be featured in a beautiful new magazine celebrating our farm shop, café and the wonderful local area. 🌿🤍

As part of the magazine, we’d love to give other independent local businesses the opportunity to feature alongside us.

If you’re a local maker, producer, shop, attraction, pub , accommodation provider, tradesperson or another fantastic independent business, this could be a lovely opportunity to showcase what you do and reach visitors and customers to Hartington and the Peak District.

Even though our doors are closed on Mondays, there was still plenty happening behind the scenes this morning! 👩🏼‍🍳✨

We were up bright and early in the kitchen preparing this lovely fresh buffet ready to head out today. 🥪🥗

Freshly made sandwiches , colourful salad platters packed with fresh veggies, and of course Loz’s homemade dips to finish it all off 👌🏻🤍

Everything freshly prepared, packed up and ready to enjoy!

The farm shop is stocked up and ready for the weekend.

Pop in for local sausages, steaks , chicken , pies and pasties, fresh milk, eggs, cream and yoghurts, local honey , bread , biscuits & cakes .

We’ve also got Derbyshire tea, preserves, fruit juices and Buxton Brewery beers to take home. And if you fancy a browse, our autumn gift display is looking lovely too 🍂

Whether you’re picking up a few weekend essentials or treating yourself to something tasty, every visit supports our family run shop and the local producers we’re proud to stock. Thank you for shopping local ❤️

Today’s specials are giving us all the cosy autumn lunch vibes 🍂

Our homemade blue cheese & tomato soup is ready to warm you up, served with local artisan bread for dipping.
Our soup is also gluten free 🙂

Or tuck into local free range chicken breast with bacon and cranberry.
Have it in a bap with chips and a little pot of dipping gravy,

or as a toastie with farm shop salad and homemade slaw.
You can add Brie to the toastie too… and we definitely would! 🧀 🤤

Cox & Co is made locally in Stoke-on-Trent. Their farm-to-bar chocolate comes in flavours including blood orange crunch, bee pollen & honey, and Aleppo chilli & cherry.

Bullion makes its chocolate from cacao bean to finished bar in small batches in Sheffield. They use a few carefully chosen ingredients, with no palm oil or emulsifiers.
Try roasted hazelnut, Black Forest or Golden Nuggets!

Happi makes creamy, plant-based oat milk chocolate with no palm oil.
We’ve got classic oat milk, orange and cacao nibs crunch to choose from.
