We've got some dates for you dairy! Free events in Haltwhistle
There's a couple of events taking place at Haltwhistle Railway Station during Heritage Open Days On 12 and 13 September, come along to the Old Booking Hall to see the exhibition of models of heritage homes of Northumberland and Cumbria. There's barracks, castle, bastles, homes for workers in a range of industries. One is a model of Haltwhistle's Station House.
On 19 September, the signal box will be open giving you a bird's eye view over the platforms and an insight into the role of a signaller. Check out the railway posters from the 19th century in the waiting room on platform 1, call into the Old Booking Hall and see the Edmondson ticket racks, watch performances of songs celebrating Thomas Edmondson, loco' Rocket and Brampton Station.
The Water Tower Haltwhistle will be open every day so you can have a look in this former railway building whilst enjoying a drink and some freshly made food.
