Good evening ladies and gents, I have a little
Something to share with you all, as of Monday 13th March 2023 yours truly (Mrs Koffi lodge) is stepping into a new role, well new but familiar, you will be able to find me at Trudy Scrumptious cafe in the Meadows In Tavistock, Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 11am till 4pm, I really hope I get to see some of you there, It’s a beautiful setting and even on the damp days there is a little pagoda to
Shelter and enjoy beautiful coffee. I have been out of action for some time and when I closed the doors I didn’t think I would ever be able to do it again but after some TLC I have found my spark, I’m excited to start this new chapter and hope to bring a little of the Koffi lodge spirit with me. Good morning all, it’s been a long hard couple of weeks for me not being in my little lodge. I was thinking about what to do with this page and I have decided I am going to leave it open, i may change the name, i might try and do some virtual coffee mornings if people would be interested, my main thought is that the Koffi lodge was more than a coffee shop it was somewhere for people to go that needed a minute and although I can no longer offer a physical place I would like to try and offer to be there for people. So if your feeling lost, alone, unsure, happy, sad, whatever and you want someone to listen then give me a shout, it doesn’t matter big or small, I won’t necessarily be able to fix your problems but i know the importance of sharing them. So good news, bad news, anything in between message me or comment on here and I will try my best to get back to you. Also available to meet up for coffees and chats. Take care, missing you all so much. Also on the current climate I don’t have much but If I can help I will.

Gosh where to start, at the beginning I suppose, I always wanted to own a coffee shop, just one of those random things I thought I would be good at, but not your average coffee shop, I wanted it to be a place people felt safe, loved, included, happy and honestly it surpassed everything I could have hoped for.

From every person that walked through the door, every do, tortious, snake (yes snake), to every baby I watched grow to the mums that needed a minute, the grieving husband, wife, son, daughter, to the person with a health scare or the ones struggling to even leave there house, anniversary’s, wakes, baby showers, birthday party’s, discos, the local art on the wall and the loyalty cards, the lowen school and there amazing children, the craft group and church group that have since day one have filled out space with laughter and love, all my family and friends who have supported and helped, to my amazing Ladies that have worked with me, Gemma, Anna, Jules and poppy the A team and w every single cup of coffee that has been made,

We have helped, welcomed, hugged, supported, cared for, entertained and brought as much sparkle and we have done it all with love.

I have made life long friends and the most amazing memories, I have cried with you and laughed out loud and you have been there for me, you will all always be in my heart.

Cheers to nearly 4 amazing years of the Koffi lodge.

I will miss you all beyond words thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Good evening, it is with tears in my eyes and my heart breaking that I right this post, a post I have desperately tried not to have to post, but I’m sure with the current climate and financial situation that it probably won’t suprise many of you, it is with my deepest sadness that I have to announce that I will be closing the Koffi lodge for good this Saturday 5/10/2022 at 1pm. This is not a decision I have made lightly or easily, in fact it has absolutely broken me. I would like to take this opportunity to thank every single one of you that has supported us, I will miss every single one of you, i have made friends that are more like family to me now and with out a doubt you will all always be special to me. I would like to invite you all to please come and join us Saturday for one last big Koffi lodge get together, we will be open from 10am till 1pm to allow time for people to call in, please note that there will only be cakes and drinks available Saturday, we wil be running down our stock and unfortunately when it’s gone it’s gone. Thursday and Friday will be our normal hours. Thank you isn’t enough but it’s all I have right now. When I say we are more than just a coffee shop I mean it, this right here is one of the ways, we had the honour of having the children and staff from The Lowen School in, the children had worked hard on making lots of yummy goodies to sell to raise money for the food bank, we removed all our cakes from sale and set them up behind the counter and they where fantastic, the raised a whopping £85 and still had cakes left, they are a truly amazing groups of people all the kids and all the staff are just incredible, thank you for letting us be a part of this and well done done guys. 👏🏻

Bring some pennies (or pounds😜)to the The Koffi Lodge tomorrow, from 10:30-1pm to purchase some yummy treats. 🎃

All proceeds raised will go to Callington Food Bank…🥰

Good morning you gorgeous lot, I’m back, 🥰 baby steps, I won’t be in every day but I am here, a huge thank you to everyone that reached out to me, that has supported the Koffi lodge and an enormous thank you to Anna and Gemma who have gone above and beyond for me to keep my baby going, we will be continuing with reduced hours and menu until further notice, this is to ensure we all get the rest we need but also to try and keep our doors open. There will possibly be further changes to hours as we go into the winter months, I would rather open 3 days a week and offer an incredible place for you to unwind, stay warm and have a chat, then open more hours and offer less. As we all know the prices of things are rising and it’s a difficult time for everyone but I believe in my heart that we can and will all get through this. So please if you can keep supporting us, we are so much more than a coffee shop. Thank you, love Sarah your sparkly crazy Koffi lodge lady. Xx

Good afternoon all, due to personal reasons I unfortunately will be taking a small step back from the Koffi lodge to allow my self the time I need to come back stronger, my amazing team have spoken to me and have offered to open the lodge doors on reduced hours and reduced menu, this means we can continue to be present and a part of the amazing community until I return.

From tomorrow we will be opening 10am till 2 pm and going forward it will be 10am till 2pm Monday to Thursday and 10.30 till 1.30 Friday. Saturdays for now unless we have a pre scheduled event will remain closed to allow my team plenty of rest.

Moving forward we will have a selection of cakes, tea cakes, bacon sandwiches, toasted sandwiches and panini’s available, there will be no cooked breakfasts, no burgers or loaded fries. I sincerely apologies if this causes any inconvenience but I must do what I feel is best for all involved.

Please be kind and patient when visiting us.

We really do love you all and this amazing community.

We where absolutely honoured to have been asked to host a little leaving party for two of Gunnislake’s fabulous residents, April and Glenys, they are leaving us to start a new adventure, they will be greatly missed but we wish them all the best for the new chapter, cream tea and as April said dippy do dahs and what nots where enjoyed, lots of laughter and memories made. good luck from the Koffi lodge team lady’s and be sure to pop in if your ever back this way. Xx
