WE’RE LOOKING FOR A SENIOR SOUS CHEF!
We’re looking for an experienced chef to join us at The Olive Tree, Sutton Green as second-in-command to our Head Chef, Alex.

We’re an independent, food led country pub. We cook proper fresh food from scratch, have a busy and loyal customer base and, perhaps just as importantly, a kitchen that isn’t run on shouting, egos and chaos.

We’re looking for someone who:
→ Has a strong fresh-food/pub background
→ Can confidently run the kitchen in Alex’s absence
→ Stays calm when the tickets start flying
→ Takes pride in doing things properly
→ Wants to be part of a team, not rule over one
→ Would rather cook something than open a packet!

£32,000–£36,000 depending on experience
Plus £3,000–£5,000 typical annual tips

This is a genuine senior role with real input into menus, specials and how the kitchen operates.

You’ll work hard (we’re a busy pub!) but you’ll be supported, respected and part of a team that genuinely backs each other.

Could You Be Part of a Second Olive Tree Darts Team?

We're looking to launch a second Olive Tree team for the Winter Darts League, which gets underway in mid-October.

What do you need?
→Be available on Tuesday evenings from 8.00pm
→Be able to get to home and away matches (our furthest trip is the very manageable journey to The Three Mariners, Bagshot)
→Enjoy a great evening in good company.

Now for the important bit...

We're not looking for Luke Littlers.

In fact, your darts ability is probably less important than your ability to:
→Laugh at yourself after hitting 26.
→Congratulate your opponent when they somehow take out 118 after missing the board twice.
→Smile graciously in the face of another glorious Olive Tree defeat.
→Join in the banter and enjoy a pint with your teammates afterwards.

If you happen to hit the occasional treble that's a bonus. If you regularly hit the wrong double you'll fit in just fine!

Our darts nights are about friendship, laughs, and enjoying Tuesday evenings together. Winning is always welcome, but it's never the main objective.

If you've ever fancied giving league darts a go, or used to play years ago and fancy dusting off your arrows, we'd love to hear from you.
