Good evening, well what a week in the hospitality business. We have had some ups and downs but most of all lots of ups with our wonderful customers who keep on coming back, even tho I was doing the cooking as our chef was having a well earned break. Thank you to all who took the time to give us feed back after the gentlemen who was not happy, (we try but can't please everyone). Thank you to my staff in Bentleys and vintage lincs who stepped up and kept us ticking over as without you we could not keep going. A big thank you to my manager Heather who kept me on my toes and Mr Tom who kept up with the washing up as this would not be possible. To those customers who give us feed back and keep coming back thank you. The hospitality business is going through a rough time at the moment and to those in it who keep going keep smiling as I know it's not all about the money, but more importantly to see smiling faces who are having a good time.

Good afternoon.
We haven't had this situation happen to us in the 10 years that we have been open, which is why we feel we have to write this post.
We had a customer come in today with an apparent attitude the moment he sat down.
He complained about the cost of our sandwiches to our waitress.
He ordered a coffee and a bacon and egg sandwich. Within minutes, he was approaching the counter with the sandwich saying there was a bone in his bacon. He stated that if he had broken his tooth we would have received the bill.
Unfortunately, as we don't butcher our meat, these things can occasionally happen that are out of our control.
He complained about our member of staff attitude regarding the situation and stormed out after paying for his coffee.
On clearing his table , he had left behind sanitizer, which we placed on the side to be put in the bin.
He returned for the sanitizer, and was aggressive , swearing and extremely rude to our staff.
He explained rudely that he was going home to slate this ---- ---- on Facebook,Google etc etc.
We therefore think we should explain our side of the story.
We know we can't please everyone, and things happen that are out of our control.
