Well today is our last day as Mocha Coffee Lounge as we cease trading at 2:30 this afternoon, I have enjoyed every minute, absolutely love my wonderful customers and will miss each and everyone of you. A big thankyou to each and every one. Thank you for making the last 11 years so fun. Merry Christmas to all and a happy new year, love Diane and Clare. ###

THE END OF AN ERA

Before the signs officially go up, Diane, Sam and the team at Mocha wanted to share the information that as of 23rd December 2023, Mocha will be closing.

We've been serving you for over 11 years now, seen out a pandemic, birthed and raised two awesome children, continued trading through family tragedies, a cost of living crisis and a cease and desist from Warner Brothers!
We've held events, quizzes, charity nights, bistro evenings, baby showers, birthdays, wakes, psychic evenings and much more. We've greeted our wonderful customers, day after day and year after year and we can't thank you all enough for your custom, support, friendships and loyalty; you're the reason we've been so successful for this long.

However, Diane is ready for retirement, and recent illnesses and emergencies within the family have opened our eyes to her need to be able to drop everything and get out to family members at very short notice, when there's opening hours to keep to that becomes difficult. So it's time for her to hang up her apron and enjoy some free time!

Sam will continue to trade as The Tattooed Cake Lady (there's no let up for her!) But she'll be moving to a custom built cake studio in Caister. All current and future orders will remain secured in the diary and safe in her care!

We wanted the word out there from ourselves before the sale brochure goes live, and most of all wanted to thank each and every one of you who has walked through our doors or supported us online and kept us going through all these years. We couldn't have done it without you.

We've got a few items left over from our craft stall at NorCon last weekend in the shop if anyone needs to grab any treats for themselves or early Xmas presents.

We've also got the counter full of cupcakes, wookie cookies and bronuts 😁

A chocolate chip cookie crust filled with 1.5kg of white chocolate and hazelnut spread and stuffed with white and milk kinder bueno bars and classic kinder bars.

Organising Great Yarmouth Comicon 2023 is in full swing and it is that time that we ask who would be interested in volunteering! This does take a few months to get into place so it is important we do it early.

Volunteering at Comicon is a full on couple of days but it is also a great laugh and a great experience, we have a fantastic group of core volunteers who have been doing it for a few years and can help with any issues on the day. What we need from you is a willingness to work, the ability to smile most of the day, an interest in Comicon ideally, the ability to work within a team and follow instruction.

What we offer is a great team of people who will support you each step, a fun filled weekend, we will provide t-shirts that need to be returned at the end of the day and you will get the opportunity to see all the amazing cosplayers coming into the event.

Each year this event is more and more successful and we would love more people to join our Comicon family! We are looking for volunteers on Saturday 3rd June and Sunday 4th June with help to set up and to go through details, get name tags/tshirts on Friday 2nd June. If you are interested please leave a message below with the days you are available/wanting to volunteer and Hayley McComas will contact you to discuss it further.
