🎉 AMAZING NEWS! 🎉

We're delighted to announce that we've found a temporary chef, which means our kitchen will be back OPEN from tomorrow! 🍔🍕🍟

A huge thank you to everyone for your patience, understanding and support over the last few days while we've worked through some staffing challenges. It really does mean the world to us. ❤️

📅 Tuesday – Kitchen Open
📅 Wednesday – Food served from 4:00pm

⚽ England fans, we've got you covered too! We'll be serving food right up until half-time during the England game, so you can enjoy the match with a full stomach and a cold pint in hand. 🍔🍟🍺

I'm working hard behind the scenes to get Thursday and Friday covered and will keep everyone updated as soon as I can.

Thank you again for all your support while we navigate these early weeks. The response from the village and our customers has been incredible, and we're doing everything we can to keep improving every day.

❤️ A Little Apology From Me ❤️

Firstly, I want to say a huge thank you to everyone who came down to The Half Butt Inn yesterday and supported us.

I also want to apologise to anyone who experienced a long wait for food.

Unfortunately, our previous chef left on Friday, and yesterday was the first shift for a new member of the kitchen team. It quickly became very overwhelming, and in the end I had to jump into the kitchen myself to help keep things moving.

I know some of you waited far longer than you should have, and sadly some customers weren't even able to place a food order. For that, I am truly sorry.

As many of you know, we're still finding our feet and building the team we need. I never want to serve food that isn't up to standard or keep people waiting unnecessarily, so while I work hard to find another chef and strengthen the kitchen team, the kitchen will be temporarily closed.

I hope that for those who did receive food, it was worth the wait, and I genuinely appreciate the patience, kindness and understanding shown by so many of you yesterday.

Running a village pub is certainly a learning curve, but I'm committed to getting things right and making The Half Butt Inn the welcoming place our community deserves.

Thank you for sticking with us, supporting us, and giving us the opportunity to improve.

England’s first game of the tournament certainly didn’t disappoint, and neither did the atmosphere here at The Half Butt Inn!

A huge thank you to everyone who chose to spend the evening with us and watch the match. The pub was buzzing from start to finish, with plenty of cheering, chanting, laughter and great support for the team. It was fantastic to see so many familiar faces and new ones enjoying the game together.

These are exactly the kind of nights we dreamed of when bringing The Half Butt Inn back to life – great people, great atmosphere and a real community spirit.

Thank you all for your support, patience and for helping make it such a memorable evening.

We can’t wait to do it all again for the next England game! 🏴⚽🍺
