Another Bank Holiday and this time (touch wood, the weather is looking job).

This is great as we introduce to you, not one but two new faucets to our beautiful pub.

1. Live fire cooking
2. Petanque

Both situated in our award-winning garden we can't wait to show you what we have been up to.

As ever, our weekend will revolve around food drink and good times with family and friends.

Thursday - Saturday, we will be serving alongside our al a carte menu our Tastes of the Shire Tapas menu, small plates, perfect for sharing.

Friday Night - Alley Gibbs providing an upbeat soundtrack from 8pm, pizza kitchen open from 5pm.

Saturday - Pizza (ALL DAY) as a one off until July - you do not understand how many phonecalls we get about pizza on Saturday's.

Sunday - Its a biggy!
- BBQ Roast dinners served alongside our traditional roasts 12-4.45pm
- Pizza from 5pm
- Traditional BBQ from 5.30pm
- Live Music from The Mojo Mules from 7pm.

Monday - open as usual, all day, for both food and drink.

The month of May will be soon to be with us and that means after the success of our 1st one last year, our LIVE MUSIC MONTH IS BACK.

To kick it off we are launching into our jazz weekender with live performances of evenings of Friday 1st May and Sunday 3rd May.

On Friday, we'll be hosting 'The Cool Jazz Collective' for the first time from 8pm and giving you a sneak peak of the flavours we'll be introducing on our next menu in the form of some cheeky little canapes (FOC of course).

Sunday, we see the welcome return of our resident line up, The Jamie Glew Quartet from 7pm, grab a roast dinner (last sitting at 4.45) and a few pre-gig drinks, or pop along from 5pm and munch a pizza.

Saturday (2nd) and Monday (4th), we'll be switching the playlist to something a little more avant garde, to match the brunch menu we'll be serving from 11am-3pm on both days. No fry up's (unfortunately), just some beautiful light and wholesome dishes, with a 'jazz' twist.

Al a carte menu will be available as ever.

This time next week see's the very welcome return of our Street Foods of the World nights (last Friday of every month) and this time we travel to Turkey.

We are just finalising the menu but like any good Friday night our, expect kebabs galore!

Food starts from 6pm and from 8pm onwards we'll have the incredible performing live in the bar.

These nights get really busy so best to book ahead to avoid disappointment.

This month we are going you a tiny insight into what you may expect on our summer menu.

Keep an eye out for.......
