Rachael and I had a fantastic time celebrating our granddaughter's 1st birthday last weekend. Thank you to all who covered the Compass last weekend. Also a big cheers to those who popped in to have a birthday pint with me yesterday, and for the gifts I recieved.
At the behest of Mr Alexander, we are trialing pork pies at the moment, limited stocks, as we gauge interest.
We have no volunteers for the next couple of weeks, so Rachael is in tomorrow and I'm doing next Saturday.
Renegade 5 are playing at the Punch & Judy, Tonbridge tonight, so if you're down that way please support them, otherwise come down and see us!

Finally next week is quiz week, and we have a date for the next Karaoke, July 11th.

Well the cat is away this weekend. Rachael and I are off to Sunny Otley to wish our granddaughter a happy 1st birthday. So you have many hosts this weekend. Picking up the majority are Lianne & Linda, with support from Lee, Matt & Simone are tomorrow lunch, and Phil is game for Tuesday evening. Please come down and keep them busy, but no parties!

Afternoon,

From Monday 11th May I’ll be down in Kent for a week, exploring different areas each day, and on Friday I’ll be heading over to Rainham, Gillingham, Gravesend and Chatham. Rainham is known for its historic church and marshland nature reserves, Gillingham has strong naval connections, Gravesend is famous for its riverside setting on the Thames and links to Pocahontas, and Chatham is well known for its historic dockyard and maritime heritage.

I’ll be visiting a number of micropubs and pubs throughout the day to see what the area has to offer.

If I’m planning to pop in and visit you, I’d really appreciate a share of this post — and if you see me out and about, feel free to come and say hello!
