We would like to thank everyone who joined us for our afternoon tea last Sunday, we raised an amazing £1000!!! Thank you for your generosity.

We would also like to thank our staff and especially Shelley for the yummy cupcakes and for being an all round ⭐ and Sonny for the tunes 🎸.

Special thanks to Dan for engineering the cake stands (can you ever have too many?)

Finally, thanks to our local businesses who donated the raffle prizes: Albert Fields, The Goring Grocer , Sarah Virgo, Inspirations, Reeds Art Framing, Thai Lotus, Original Pilates, Goring Butchers, Garden Design, Avondale & Barbera’s.

I know "the cake stand" is a tad out of fashion these days but who doesn't love a tea party, right?!

The cake stand should be an all embraced thing of beauty to own for everyone!

These beautiful specimens were carefully selected old, precious and recycled plates by V&K, which were supplied by Babs, lovingly engineered by Dan and then filled by Shells... whats not to love!!

We apologise all but unfortunately due to the excessive heat we have decided to close early tonight

We will be stopping service @ 7:30pm and the pub will be officially closed by 8:00pm

Its just so very hot that regretfully we are closing the kitchen this evening and tomorrow because we love our staff more than our customers! ...Only joking (sorry staff) and to prove it we have two new fridges to serve lovely cold drinkies :)

We had a full house for the Quiz last night, thanks to all who joined us. It was a close fought thing and on the second recount, the Strollers came out victorious (win no.2 boys) pipping the Remarkables & Chagg by just one point! They generously donated their winnings to our charity of the month, Breast Cancer Now.

Thanks also to everyone who bought raffle tickets for our bumper charity raffle, which will be drawn at the tea party next Sunday 16th. Tickets still available, call the pub.
