The first shop in Sutherland and only the 100th in the UK to have received the Fish and Chip Quality Award from the National Federation of Fish Friers (NFFF).

Police are appealing for help to trace a woman who has been reported missing from the Golspie area.

Laura McIntosh, 58, was last seen around 9.30pm on Monday, 17 August, 2026 in Little Ferry Road.

The blue Skoda Fabia she drives was located in the Little Ferry area around 6.25am on Tuesday, 18 August

Laura is described as 5ft 7 in height, of slim build, with shorter than shoulder length brown/grey hair.

It is not known what she was last wearing.

Sergeant Jo MacLeod said: “Laura’s family and friends are very concerned about her wellbeing, and it is vital that we trace her and confirm that she is ok.

“I’m appealing to anyone in the Golspie area who thinks they may have seen Laura, or her blue Skodia Fabia between 9pm on Monday and 6.25am on Tuesday, to please come forward.

“Anyone with information, including dashcam footage which could be of significance, is asked to get in touch with us on 101, quoting incident 0473 of Tuesday, 18 August, 2026.”
