The Negroni 🥃

The most widely accepted story traces the Negroni to 1919 in Florence. According to tradition, Count Camillo Negroni asked a bartender at Caffè Casoni to strengthen his favorite drink, the Americano

The Americano consisted of:
- Campari
- Sweet vermouth
- Soda water

To make it stronger, the bartender reportedly replaced the soda water with gin and garnished it with an orange peel rather than the Americano’s typical lemon garnish. The resulting drink became known as the “Negroni.”

20th June ☀️ Summer Solstice at the Lock Keepers on the River Severn from 12-9/10

Flowing spritzes, DJs all day, riverside taster menu & sunset vibes.
This Summer Solstice, we’re transforming the Lock Keepers into a Riviera hideaway on the River Severn.

Think sun drenched afternoons, flowing spritzes, ice cold cocktails, and DJs soundtracking the day from laid back daytime grooves through to golden hour. A beautifully curated taster menu will be served beside the water, inspired by long summer lunches and slow sunset evenings on the Riviera.

Nature all around. Music in the air. Glasses always full.
