To our ancestors, alchemy wasn’t just about turning lead into gold. It was a sacred, mystical art of transmutation. It was the process of purifying the heavy, dark elements of life and refining them into something filled with light, healing, and pure magic.

I have always been deeply drawn to this word, and it has become something more to me than I ever knew it would. A way of removing the ingredients that had a negative effect on my body and adapting recipes by using botanical blends that bring vitality and life. I was honoured by the powerful lunar eclipse portal right over my birthday this year. It brought a sense of alignment to my path, and to a future alchemised from the darkness and brought forward into the light.

We wrapped up our event season just days ago surrounded by the breathtaking, ancient beauty of Glastonbury Abbey. It was a magical, full circle way to say goodbye to the road for the year. Up until now, this has been a personal journey of discovery but as the wheel turns and this season closes, the next chapter belongs to all of us.

Some of you may already know the exciting next step in our journey... 🤫✨

Last weekend, The Lost Apothecary was transported back to a realm where it truly belongs. The Sacred Sister Gathering welcomed me with open hearts, and I am truly grateful for the experience.

The menu was created with no artificial sweeteners and only wholesome ingredients, to honour our bodies and our intentions. We thanked Mother Earth for providing for us and felt grief for the way she has been treated.

Some highlights of the weekend were my offerings being received with such love and excitement. The foraging walk was inspiring! We learnt about the many different kinds of food and medicines that are in our countryside. We barely scratched the surface of the wonders of our beautiful species of plants, flowers, seeds and magnificent weeds. 🌼

And last but not least, being accepted into the maidens’ world.

I felt the positive effects of the healing that our elders have done before us….. and so we created the Thank You Brew.

The maidens foraged for elderberries, we were gifted lavender, and we selected rosemary and ginger root to bring it all together. 🪾🍃✨

✨ Drinks with intention, crafted for a wonderful occasion. ✨

The Lost Apothecary had the pleasure of creating a small offering in celebration of the opening of Nature Preserved. Created here in Glastonbury during the Summer Solstice, the Summer Solstice Elixir and Moonflower Elixir were a small toast to new beginnings and a wish for every success in the seasons ahead.

Vicky puts her love in to restoring quiet moments in time through ethically sourced taxidermy. Nature Preserved is a place of wonder for curious souls, and a gentle reminder of the simple magic found in the natural world.

Thank you for having me. It was an honour to be part of your celebrations... it’s not everyday you get a mention from the Town Crier. 🥹📜🐦‍⬛✨
