🥃Little Brown Dog Caol Ila 12
An incredibly rare bottling of 12 year old unpeated Caol Ila from two refill bourbon casks gives you the opportunity to experience the essence of Caol Ila distillate without the peat. Bottled at 57.3%

🥃Little Brown Dog Aberdeenshire Single Malt 12
This core bottling, with a batch size of apprx 2000 bottles, is a blend of Glen Garioch spirit. 60% matured in first fill bourbon and 40% in Oloroso and PX both first fill and refill. Bottled at 46%

🥃Fragrant Drops Bunnahabhainn 6
This fruity single cask was fully matured in a first fill wine barrique. Bottled at 60%

🥃Fragrant Drops Indiana Rye 8
This 8 year old Rye whiskey was finished for three and half years in a second fill Hungarian Tokaji wine cask. Bottled at 56.8%

🥃Thompson Bros Glen Scotia 12 year old
One of just 202 bottles this campbeltown spirit was matured in a single refill cask. Bottled at 56.7%

🥃Thompson Bros Caol Ila 13 year old
One of just 212 bottles this Islay spirit was matured in a single rejuvenated hogshead. Bottled at 54.9%

🥃Berry Brothers Caol Ila 2011 (14 year old)
Part of the 'Auld and Bold Collection', this 14 year old Islay was finished in an intense moscatel hogshead. Bottled at 52.4%

Three intriguing newl drams this week

🥃Laphroaig Elements L 1.0

The first release in the Islay distillery’s new Elements Series, a collection dedicated to innovation and experimentation in whisky making.

For this inaugural expression, distillers explored the impact of production variables by using both clear and cloudy wort, produced in two differently sized mash tuns, before a 55-hour fermentation. The spirit was then matured exclusively in bourbon casks and bottled at a robust 58.6% ABV

🥃Ardnamurchan Tokaji Cask Release

Another intriguing release from Ardnamurchan’s ever-experimental cask series

This expression began life in 28 unpeated bourbon barrels filled in 2018 before being re-racked into Hungarian Tokaji wine casks for just over two years. The whisky was then married with two fully matured bourbon barrels, creating a unique dram that balances floral sweetness, vibrant fruit character, and the distinctive funky charm of this west coast dram. It is bottled at 52%

🥃Ardbeg Dolce

Dolce (meaning 'sweet') marries the rich fruity sweetness of Sicilian Marsala dessert wine with the intense islay smokiness of Ardbeg. It is bottled at 47.8%

🥃Deanston 17 Orange Wine Cask

Matured for 15 years in ex-bourbon casks and then transferred to orange wine casks for a further two years. Bottled at 53.6%

*Not to be mistaken with the white wine with grape skin contact, this orange wine is a fortified wine, infused with sundried orange peel from Andalusia, Spain
'Vino de Naranja'

🥃Glasgow 1770 Passito Di Caluso 6 year

This peated malt was first matured in ex-Wild Turkey bourbon casks before being finished for 20 months in ex-Passito Di Caluso casks. Bottled at 57.8%

*Passito di Caluso is a traditional dessert wine from the Piedmont region of Italy, just north of Turin. It is made from the Erbaluce variety of grape that is high in acidity and aroma. It is aged for a minimum of 4 years

🥃Kilchoman Fino Matured

This heavily peated 2023 limited edition was fully matured in 20 Fino sherry casks from Cadiz, Spain.
Bottled at 50%

*Fino being the driest and slightly more vegetal version of the sherries found in the sherry triangle
