Formerly Kelvinside Parish Church, Òran Mór, Gaelic for ‘great melody of life’ or ‘big song’, is a thriving arts & entertainment venue in the heart of Glasgow’s West End. We offer a Victorian Bar and Whisky Bar, John Muir Room Restaurant and Brasserie Restaurant, Private Dining Room, Live Music venue, Night Club, and our stunning Auditorium with mural ceiling by Alasdair Gray. As well as hosting the now internationally recognised ‘A Play, A Pie and A Pint’ lunchtime theatre programme, Òran Mór also provides the perfect setting for Weddings, Private and Corporate Events. The Brasserie Restaurant uses Scottish produce wherever possible, freshly prepared by an in-house team of chefs. Bar meals are also served in the Whisky and Victorian Bars, incorporating the John Muir Room restaurant.

Check out our brand new trailer for 'It's a Wonderful Life... Mostly!' returning to Òran Mór this Christmas! ❄
After a sell-out run last Christmas, Glasgow’s Òran Mór brings back Morag Fullarton’s glorious new theatre production, ‘It’s a Wonderful Life…Mostly’. Fullarton, known for five-star hits including ‘Doris, Dolly & The Dressing Room Divas’, ‘Casablanca: The Gin Joint Cut’ and ‘A Bottle of W**e & Patsy Cline’, returns with a fresh take on the Christmas classic.

Inspired by Frank Capra’s iconic film, this adaptation doesn’t just tug at your heartstrings – it gives them a joyful jingle, blending sharp comedy, warmth, and ingenious stagecraft into a show that’s as moving as it is hilarious.
The cast is cracker-sharp: multi award-winning comedian, actor and writer Chris Forbes (Scot Squad, Andy Murray’s other brother) stars as George Bailey, joined by the brilliant Kevin Lennon, Simon Donaldson (Outlander), and the glorious Rosie Graham (Boarders, The School for Good and Evil, Sanditon).

With Fullarton’s inventive direction, Hilary Brooks’ original score, a dynamite cast, Fraser Lappin’s clever design and Ian West’s terrific choreography, the show promises surprises and delight at every turn.

“An ingenious reimagining of one of the festive season’s most Loved Feelgood films” 5 Stars, The Herald.

Playing throughout December and the start of January ✨
