Ancestors Coffee, Glasgow (2026)

Ancestors Coffee will be closing their doors for the last time on Saturday the 29th of October at 3pm.

Closing Ancestors was not what we wanted and not what we had envisioned happening anytime soon.

We will be opening another Ancestors coffee in Glasgow as soon as we get the chance to. This was a passion for us both and we miss the shop greatly it meant so much to us, we feel like both of us have been in mourning of the shop since we left at the start of April to swap hands.

Ancestors Coffee was a place of its own and stood out amongst the crowd, had a fantastic loyal customer base and the shop seemed to be loved and supported throughout our time there.

We wanted to say thank you to everyone that supported us throughout the years. We are grateful for every single one of you. We have so many great memories and can't wait to replicate it again and push it to the next level as we both gained a whole lot of experience throughout.

We are both still going to be active on the Ancestors social media pages carrying on highlighting great coffee and vegan cake and whatever is appropriate for the brand. Eventually we shall transition it over to our new coffee shop.

From Ceiran, Deanna & Leon, We want to give a big thank you and have a little announcement.

We are moving up to Glasgow! We would like to thank everyone who’s joined us on this incredible journey over the past 5 years. It’s been an absolute pleasure serving each and every one of you. We’ve witnessed friendships form, built incredible relationships with a huge number of roasters keeping us all fuelled with the good stuff, and have genuinely seen an incredible community grow in our little shop in NR3.

It’s been an absolute blast, and something we simply could never leave behind….so fear not, Ancestors shall not be going anywhere, and we are of course still fully involved, just behind the scenes.

Taking the reigns, are Benji & Delilah, so without further ado, Benji & Delilah!

Hey everyone. You've probably seen our faces around the shop the last week or so while we've been getting the hang of things, but you'll be seeing a lot more of us! I'm Benji, the one with the beard, and my partner Delilah. I've been a part of the coffee community in Norwich for a good 7 years now and Ancestors has been a central part of my coffee journey. I've learned a lot from Ceiran over the years, and it's a huge honour to pick up where he's leaving off. Delilah's a little kitchen witch who loves trying out new things, creating new recipes so look out for some exciting new things that'll be popping up on the menu soon. We can't wait to meet all of you!
