Winemaker Sébastien Vincenti of Domaine de Fondrèche is widely recognised as one of the best producers in Ventoux region.
The wines from his 38ha estate are polished and seductive. He has always followed an environmentally conscientious philosophy, with discipline and rigour aimed at a low-interventionist approach, and so received official organic viticulture certification in 2022.
The vineyard’s very stony soil, chalky surface and sandy-clayed texture, added to the air streams and wide temperature range of the place give its depth and mineral structure to the wines that are produced.
The wine is vinified, undergoes a traditional red wine fermentation without the use of any sulfites, then spends 9 months in concrete vat to mature and develop.
In other words, it’s an all-round winner.
