UPDATE: from our attempted burglary/vandalism, we would like to thank everyone for their kinds words and support.
Thank you to all the people and businesses that have sent footage to the police with our incident number, if there are anymore people with footage that haven’t sent it to myself or the police yet please do.
I understand there were a lot of burglaries/vandalism that night, I will attach one small video and a picture from all the footage we have. Hope this help others if it’s the same person hopefully we can get him.
The police have received a few names from our CCTV, which that night wasn’t the best but thanks to our security team for coming out so quickly and putting the supersonic night vision spidery cameras in 😊👌
We thank all the community again for your support and kindness, we really do appreciate it. 🤗🍺

So last night we had someone try break into the Royal Oak, we have footage of the person going through the ashtrays outside.
He’s on a bike and circles round a few times, he came from oakfield road passing the school.
Then after smashing a couple windows , rode off down broadway heading towards badcox.
This started at 12.40 and ended around 12.51, we are working with the police and understand there were a few more break ins last night.
All cctv is being reviewed and police are looking at all town cameras, we thank everyone for your support and help already.
If anyone around that time drove past, which a few cars did or anyone heard or seen anything on their home cameras please message privately, this will make our case stronger the more evidence. Thank you all again 😊🍺

Hi all 😊 we just wanted to put alittle post on. As some of you might know, since Mel leaving there has been a few changes.
We would like to introduce ourselves properly to the community, our names are Toni and Lisa we are proudly the new landlady’s of The Royal Oak.

We are finding our feet but once settled we are wanting to do more in the community, we would like to help local charities more.
So if there’s any recommendations or anyone wants to use our pub for events, it’s free of charge to use.
Also we’re wanting to do more event nights, Bingo, Poker ♥️ ♣️ and karaoke 🎤🎶 has all been spoken about and if we get enough interest, these will go ahead.
We have the amazing Steve White aka chalky 😆 doing his hilarious and entertaining quiz every other Sunday still, which is very popular and booked up fast.
Thank you everyone for your kind words and support, we really appreciate it.
We are exited for the future of The Royal Oak and look forward to seeing you all 🤗🍺🫶
