What an incredible honour to be mentioned in the Scottish Parliament following our recognition as Scottish Cider Pub of the Year 2026. πŸŽπŸ†

To see The Albert Tavern acknowledged in Parliament is something we never could have imagined, and we're truly humbled by the kind words and recognition of the hard work our team puts in every day.

This award isn't just about the pubβ€”it's about our amazing staff, our loyal customers, and the wonderful community that continues to support us. We’re proud to be part of Freuchie and grateful to everyone who has helped make The Albert Tavern what it is today.
οΏΌ
Being recognised by CAMRA Scotland as Scottish Cider Pub of the Year, alongside winning the Fife-wide Cider Pub of the Year award earlier this year, was already a huge achievement. To then have that success highlighted in the Scottish Parliament makes it even more special.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us along the way. We’ll raise a glass to all of you! 🍻

We had the privilege of being invited down to Newport for a fascinating tour of the cider-making process at Naughton Cider Company, kindly presented by Peter Crawford.

It was a fantastic day from start to finish. Peter took us through every stage of the process, sharing the care, craftsmanship, and attention to detail that goes into producing their excellent cider. It was great to get an insight into the work behind the scenes and learn more about the journey from orchard to bottle.

To round off the tour, we were treated to a couple of tastings, which were very well received and provided the perfect ending to a thoroughly enjoyable visit.

A huge thank you to Peter for the warm welcome, hospitality, and for taking the time to share his knowledge with us. We had a lovely day and greatly appreciated the opportunity.

We currently have some of their ciders in stock, including the Blue Lanthorn. Keep an eye outβ€”more varieties will be arriving soon!

And before anyone asks... the ducklings featured in the photos were not involved in the cider-making process. As far as we're aware, they were strictly quality control and morale support! πŸ¦†πŸŽπŸ»

Hi everyone,

Unfortunately, due to a miscommunication, the second whisky night will no longer be going ahead (the one on June 25th will still take place so do not worry) but it is full. We're very sorry for any confusion or inconvenience caused and understand that this may be disappointing news for those who were planning to attend.

Thank you for your understanding, and we truly appreciate your support. We hope to have the opportunity to host similar events in the future and look forward to seeing you at another event soon. Cheers! πŸ₯ƒ

🧠 Quiz Night Feedback Wanted! 🧠

A big thank you to everyone who joined us for Quiz Night on Monday evening! We had 8 people take part, and afterwards it got us thinking about the future of our monthly quiz night.

We'd really appreciate your feedback:

❓ Do you enjoy having the quiz every month?
❓ Would you be more likely to attend if it was held less often, perhaps quarterly?
❓ Would a seasonal quiz (for example, just during the autumn and winter months) work better for you?
❓ Are there particular days or times that would suit you better?

We're always looking to make sure we're putting on events that our customers enjoy and want to attend, so your thoughts are important to us.

Please leave a comment below or send us a private message with any suggestions.

Thanks for your continued support – we look forward to hearing what you think! 😊🍻🧠

🍺 A cracking line-up of ales awaits at The Albert Tavern!🍺

Whether you're a fan of classic British cask ales or keen to discover something new, we've got three superb pours on the bar right now.

πŸ”οΈFyne Ales – Avalanche (4.5% ABV)
A true Scottish classic and, in our opinion, every bit as good as its reputation suggests. Bursting with refreshing citrus and subtle tropical fruit notes, this award-winning pale ale is beautifully balanced and dangerously drinkable. A solid 10/10 and a must-try for any ale lover.

🦒Strangers Brewing Co – Lone Goose (4.0% ABV)
From the independent Linlithgow brewery, this hoppy golden ale has been winning plenty of admirers. Light, crisp and packed with flavour, it's getting rave reviews from those who've sampled it so far. If you enjoy a refreshing, easy-drinking golden ale with plenty of character, this one's for you.

🎾⚽ Greene King – On The Bounce (4.0% ABV)
The surprise hit of the line-up! This bright, refreshing pale ale is absolutely flying out over the bar. Expect juicy citrus and tropical fruit flavours with a smooth, sessionable finish that keeps people coming back for another pint.

Why not make it your mission to try all three and decide your favourite? 🍻

πŸ“ Pop into The Albert Tavern, pull up a seat at the bar and enjoy some of the finest ales currently on offer. Cheers! 🍺🍺🍺
