THANKS FOR ALL THE MESSAGES YESTERDAY ABOUT THE FLOODING,
We handed over keys to new owners back in March in the understanding the Cafe would be operating for the summer,
We see this is not the case and the place has been left in a derelict state since, Such a pity as it was starting to take shape, a lot of money and time went into making the place presentable. Had we been busier we would still be operating,
The vehicles and caravan parked in the bottom car park belong to the neighbour, im assuming they were away on holiday as they are usually on the ball and move all their stuff prior to flooding.
We hope the new owners take as much care of the place as we did and makes the crossing of the bridge an enjoyable walk, hopefully the garden will not be kept in the state it is at present.
Thanks to All our customers over 2023, we absolutely loved having the place and thought it would be our career/home for the next 20yrs+.
Financially it was impossible, the final straw came from the local council, Mr Duthie representing the council admitted fault in wrong business rates by his own staffs mistakes, but still refused to rectify it and demanded £6600 in Business rates for a bar/hotel/restaurant. We hate to think about how many small businesses Mr Duthie has destroyed due to his actions or inactions in this case. We can live in hope that our complaints has/have made a difference and Mr Duthie is no longer in his position.
Thanks everyone Emma & Chris.
