So all the horses are sold, the jockeys are in training and we are good to go this Friday in The Royal Oak first race 8pm, please remember if you are coming down for a flutter that it is cash only on the night (so we don’t incure bank cost that reduce the charity donation). Our chef, Rhodri has been getting his specials ready for the week of the Fishguard dish, and this year using Welsh ale and cheese and local produce they’ve made boozy Welsh rarebit on sourdough bread with garnish and relish as a starter and for main, pan fried sea-bass, mussels, samphire in a lemon cream sauce, tender-stem broccol and laverbread dauphine.
