- A quick Hyphae update -

After taking some time off and going on holiday to Istanbul we are now back and working on the final stages of the new fruiting chamber ๐ŸŽ‰

We have decided to start again with growing, clean slates all round, and deep clean everything so we are ready for growing again.

The new chamber means we can double production when we are ready too :)

In the meantime we are selling a great Christmas present/stocking filler, our umami mushroom powder.

Our Umami mushroom powder contains 50g (equivalent to 500g of fresh mushrooms!) of 100% dried oyster mushrooms and nothing else.

Sustainably grown, dried and packed at our five star food hygiene rated facility in Hermon, west Wales

Adds a rich, deep umami flavour to stews, soups, steaks and everything in between

We are sad to not be returning this Summer but we will be back at some point later this year. It's hard when things don't work out but I had to make the decision to focus on one pop up as the overheads are eye-watering at this time ):
This means The Wyld Burger will be having all my attention!

Sadly, due to a number of unforeseen events Wyld Soul Kitchen will not be operating from Ffwrn. There will however be fantastic food available every Thursday with the new Ffwrn chef.

So what else is on the menu this April following our opening on the 6th at Ffwrn?? It's our own recipe of keep it simple, keep it fresh, keep it local and keep those flavors coming!

Thursday 13th April
Slow cooked Spanish chicken, with Black Mountain chorizo, Mediterranean veg and olives. Sides of Patatas a lo Pobre (Poor manโ€™s potatoes).

Slow cooked Spanish casserole with seasonal potatoes, British grown chickpeas, spring greens and wild garlic in a rich tomato sauce. Side of tender rapa shoots (brassica stems) with roasted hazelnuts. (VG/V)

Slow cooked seafood paella. Served with wood fired garlic bread.

Thursday 20th April
Slow cooked Greek style mutton served with a Mezze platter. Wood fired flatbread, Welsh feta, humus, roasted red peppers, pickled Spring cabbage, green salad, olives.

Thursday 27th April
Slow cooked pulled pork and chicken burgers with coleslaw and fries.

Handmade veggie/vegan burgers with coleslaw and fries. (VG/V)

Both burgers come with seasonal salad, a choice of handmade relishes and Welsh cheeses.
