More men in trees this weekend.
We have cleared a space to let the sunshine into the garden...:all we need now is the sun back!
Something unexpected has happened whilst doing this we have uncovered a large extra space in the garden and we are asking you what should we do with it?

Happy 1st of June!

It’s a big month for me personally as I reach another milestone. I was 34 when I moved to The Gun 16 years ago… I’ll let you do the maths!

We have lots of exciting events planned over the next few summer months, with a few more still to be announced. I’ll also be taking a short break in the middle of it all to celebrate, and I’m especially looking forward to having all of my children together in one place again.

We hope you’re enjoying what we’re doing and the many small improvements we continue to make around the pub and garden. I’m also excited to see what new seasonal dishes George creates when the menu gets its summer refresh.

Fingers crossed the sunshine stays with us throughout June! If you’d like any further details about the events listed, please feel free to message me.

We are so lucky here at The gun to have such a great team, Its hard when they move on to new careers but fortunately many choose to still pick up a shift here and there. I'm hoping this isn't the last we will see of Eleanor or Penny💕
Ellie joined us three years ago and honestly I couldn't be prouder of her and because she's such a gorgeous human she's made it to the grid!
We wish her and Penny also every happiness in there new jobs. (sorry Penny didn't take your photo!!)
We are excited about some new faces around the place too.

This is a little latergram… a few weeks ago we hosted our second wine tasting evening with 🍷

What a wonderful journey around Italy it was—all from our restaurant in Findon.
George created a selection of beautiful, flavourful small plates to accompany eight carefully curated wines from across Italy, each one a perfect pairing.
The event coincided with the launch of our new wine list, which keeps many of your favourites while introducing a fresh, summery update.

It’s hard to believe we’ve now been serving our own wines for a whole year—and what a fantastic year it’s been. Thank you , we’ve truly enjoyed exploring such a diverse and exciting range.

Like many businesses, we’ve had to make some small price adjustments, but we firmly believe the quality of what we’re offering makes it worthwhile.

Keep an eye out for details of our next event in July…

Grease was the word last night!
What a fun, entertaining evening it turned out to be. Thank you so much to everyone who braved a blowy, wet May night to dine alfresco and sing along with the marvellous .
