Hello Everyone,
This isn’t the post we wanted to make, however we feel this is important to get the message out there.

We are appealing to the local community for assistance following an incident of vandalism at our course. Filey Golf Club.

At approximately 10:30 pm on Saturday evening, our robotic mowers were tampered with, and what appear to be bicycle skid marks caused damage to our 5th green, This damage is estimated to cost many thousands of pounds to repair.

This is not the only incident two weeks ago one of our £12,500 robotic mowers was removed from the course and thrown over the cliff top resulting in thousands of pounds worth of damage. This incident is also being investigated by the police.

This new incident has also been reported to the police, and we are actively seeking to identify those responsible. We intend to pursue all appropriate legal avenues to ensure the individuals involved are held accountable and that the cost of the damage is recovered.

Huge congratulations to Filey GC’s scratch team consisting of Jonny Pickard, Tom Sanghera and George Davies on finishing 3rd in the YUGC 4th Division championship. This means promotion to the 3rd division which is to be played at Teeside Golf Club in 2 weeks time!

Also a massive congratulations to Jonny on his hole in 1 on the 14th hole today at Ripon City. A great achievement!🏌🏻‍♂️⛳️

Our Womens Captain Gill Don and Madam President Vivienne Dodgson would like to thank all the golfers who played at Filey Golf Club Womens Open and everyone else who made the day so memorable. Special congratulations to the winners. The day was marked by a hole in one on the 16th hole by Nancy Deamer from Fulford Golf Club. A fantastic achievement. Very well done!
