We’re pretty much one week into 2026 so hope it’s treating you all well and you enjoyed celebrating Christmas and New Year.
We are currently a couple of weeks into our winter holiday, recharging the batteries before we reopen on Monday 2nd February. I’m late this year (in fact later than ever) with my end of year post, but as always it’s a huge thanks to our hardworking team for the hours they’ve put in during 2025 to keep everyone fed, watered and smiling.
2025 was another great year, with plenty of laughs along the way.
It was a privilege to see Mol and Dan get married, and I’m still feeling quite proud I managed to create a wedding cake that didn’t collapse - a personal achievement, with some help from my ever-supportive mother!
Ben leaves us this year for pastures new. He has been with us since he was a young and timid 15 year old, and has grown into a very confident, outgoing and competent 19 year old. Please join us in wishing him all the best, and good luck to his future colleagues who now need to endure his dreadful jokes.
We look forward to seeing you all again when we return in February, but until then I’ll leave you with some photos from a very snowy Filey which has been a pain to get around but quite pretty.
Happy new year from us all - hope 2026 is a good one!
